Nebraska and Oklahoma hate Colorado

At least he had $30k in cash waiting for him when he got out. No?
Nebraska is known to seize even small amounts of cash. If they charged a drug crime, the money is gone, even if it never goes to court.

It will cost up to $20k in legal fees to get $5k returned.

You liberals don't even know demographics. Obviously me being poor white trailer trash my uncle grandpa never was literate.
Now that is some heavy projection. First of all, I'm no liberal. Secondly, just because you come from a racist and inbred family doesn't mean that your uncle grandpa can't read. There is no established correlation between illiteracy and being a worthless, shiftless, cowardly and feckless inbred white Trump supporter so don't try to insinuate that you know fuck all about demographics.

No. Asset forfeiture. See they will file it as "state of Nebraska vs $30,000". People have rights. Money doesn't. You have to prove the money was legally obtained. Most of the time it cost more to get the money back. They take 30 grand but it will cost 40 to get it back. Its screwed up and needs to be against the law.

Cops are just thugs with a badge.

I thought living in the Bible Belt was the correlation?

In 2013 and 2014, after the neighboring state of Colorado legalized the use of marijuana, the marijuana arrest rate in Nebraska increased by 11 percent. The amount spent by Nebraska to enforce its marijuana laws also increased by 11 percent (to an estimated $10.2 million). Most of the increase in arrests and enforcement spent came in western Nebraska (the "Nebraska Panhandle") next to the Colorado border, and particularly along Interstate 80. Experts expressed uncertainty whether the spike was caused by the change in Colorado law, by increased enforcement by Nebraska police, or some combination of factors.

In December 2014, Nebraska and Oklahoma sought permission from the Supreme Court of the United States to file an original action against the State of Colorado, asking to Court to strike down Colorado's legalization of cannabis. Nebraska and Oklahoma argued that it had resulted in a spillover of cannabis activity into their states, and thus increasing enforcement expenses and social harm. They argued that the Colorado legislation was "preempted by federal law, and therefore unconstitutional and unenforceable under the Supremacy Clause."

In March 2016, the Court denied Nebraska and Oklahoma's request to proceed with its suit. Justice Clarence Thomas, joined by Justice Samuel Alito, dissented, writing that they would have heard the claim against Colorado.
When they legalized it in various states it wasnt the open invitation to smuggle that lots of people have presumed. If your weed isnt good enough to sell then dont try exporting it. Keep it in your legal state.
