Its a reference to a lot of things that are going on behind closed doors....... people are enslaved by money. The new "drug" (pacifier) of the new ages...... is money, plain and simple.

"Novus Opiate Seclorum", after the motto on the seal of the United States, "Novus Ordo Seclorum", which means "a new order for the ages"> This would mean, then, "a new opiate for the ages", you see the refference? The United States Constitution was written for one purpose only: To Establish the United States as a sovereign nation by establishing its own currency and means of trade, allowing the government to act as a conduit of control with the image of democracy before the people. I have done much research into this and the claims of the masons etc. having their own plan for things and its correlations to the CFR etc. theories dating back farther than Rome (one scheme after another it seems)..... that many of our founding fathers were members of the masons, and what that MEANS according to what they said (or let be known that they said/proclaimed) and more importantly what they DID...... you follow?

D4. I own this Tool shirt, it's got the big eye/pyramid thing from one dollar bills, and I don't understand what it says on it.
Tool seems big into the concept of "All Indians, No Chiefs", as it says on the shirt: the idea that there are lots of sheep, lots of people who are unable to speak for themselves. (Basically, those who follow blindly). Seems a bit ironic that you bought the shirt, hm?
The other quote in question is the "Novus Opiate Seclorum" on the back. Here's an insight by Mike `Shmoo' Smuland ([email protected]):
"Novus ordo seclorum" ("a new order of the ages") is the motto on the great seal of the USA. Get it? But opiate is not a generic term for drug:
"Opiate: 1. a drug that contains opium and so dulls pain or brings sleep. 2. anything that quiets: opiates to grief.
"Throw the two together. A new opiate of the ages." Take that in context of the answer to Question E1, and you have your answer. Dave Sticher ([email protected]) points out that "the eye in the pyramid on the dollar bill is frequently associated with the Illuminati, the legendary group who supposedly rules the world through various nefarious means" -- this may be a Toolish connection as well.

E1. Snappy title. Where'd they get it?
The accepted notion follows: It relates to Marx's statement that "religion is the opiate of the masses." People relied on the church for direction in their lives, and carried on with their lives. Marx felt that the church kept people from "waking up and smelling the coffee." This is one of the themes of the CD: the band makes fun of the way people let others think for them. That is, it's one thing to have religious beliefs, but it's another thing to let someone else interpret those beliefs and force them on you

E9. OK, OK, I'm sold! But why can't I find a copy anywhere!!?!?
Some CD stores don't carry "Opiate" in stock. Of course, you can always just ask them to order it for you, as well you should. The catalog number is Volcano 31027.

And there is a good reason they don't carry it.... call it conscientious objection to the messages presented in the material ;)

Many stores that carry some of tools or apc albums WILL not cary opiate.......

Thanks for the info TLD!! Yeah, i'd read into the various meanings and takes on the statement before I got the tat, and like with many of Tools songs, I took it as something to be interpreted through insight, perspective, and personal reflection. For me, it represents whatever method or substance ( opiate ) I use to gain understanding and enlightenment. Going through my own metamorphosis, and becoming more, so to speak.

I don't like to dwell too much on the old and new world orders, their schemes and manipulations. It makes me sick :spew:and I just want them to shut up and go away.

And lookie there, Slab's spinnin the songs that make the whole world sing!!! And I thought you just made hog jerky!!!! Hahaha  Go Slab!!

Here's a link to another thread I started just for fun, but I posted some pretty cool pics of Tool @ Coachella a couple of years ago.......DIG IT!! I've got a shit load from earlier shows taken on regular film, i just gotta get 'em all onto a disc, then i'll probably post 'em too sometime.

Suggestion:

Get some general hydroponics Bloom. Just the bloom part of the three part formula, it is the pink bottle. 3 or 4 tablespoons per five gallon bucket will get you a half pound to a pound per plant.

For deer use hair. Dumpster dive as a barber shop or beauty shop. One bag lasts a couple years and just toss it around the area. Every week toss out a little more.

Starting in late August they do the fly overs in Washington State. To camo them without shading them, find some dead snag branches, big ones. Stick one in the ground next to a plant so that the branches go over the top of the plant. From a distance, all you can see is the dead snag. I grew about a mile from a helicopter school and had helicopters flying over every 15 minutes at about 150 feet all season with no problems. Best camo job you can do with weed.

If you go to your spot and you see your stuff, buckets...etc, up on tree branches, leave. This is what the cops do if they raid your spot. Everything, tarps, buckets, tools, everything they will put up in the air on small trees. In Washington state they have a grab and go policy so they dont bother with finger prints or waiting you out. They will only nab you if they catch you red handed. They do try to raid gardens on the weekends because it is more likely they will catch the grower.

Best thing I ever did outdoors was use the pink General Hydroponics liquid bloom formula. My yeilds went from 3 or 4 zips to a pound or more per, half pound off the small ones. Ive gotten a pound and a half off a plant that was only getting four hours of direct sun. The stuff is like a miracle. Of course you should give them nitrogen right up to the last two weeks. Particularily now that they are getting ready to bloom.

Bend the plants, this will give you 1/3 more final product. Bending the main top down will make all of the side branches turn into terminal buds. This also serves to alter the shape of the plants thus making them look less like marijuana from the distance.

That is about it for now off the top of my head. Oh, yeah, and obscure any trails you might have made.

I grew outside for decades in Wa state.

Peace.

" It got a bit messy, all over the curtains, armchair covers, throw pillows and carpet......." !!!!!

Yeah, I'm diggin it Slab! Always have, always will!!

Thanks on the tat! I'm tellin ya Slab, ya gotta move to a medical state so you don't have to worry about the po-po's. I've got paperwork that stops them in their tracks; it's such a nice feeling. Freedom, to a degree ( there's always degrees of freedom ) to be able to do as I please.

" Well I try my best to be just like I am. But everybody wants you to be just like them!! " ( Maggies Farm ) Fuck 'em.:finger: I go my own way.

You 'an me Slab, we gotta be just like we are. Feel me bro?

Keep on growin!!!:peace:
