MzJill Seeds, potential sleeping giant.

I didn’t realize MZ Jill created plushberry, got clones of it one year when I was still in Cali. It’s definitely in my top five best plants/strains I’ve ever grown outdoors. Unfortunately I didn’t keep any cuts of it. It tasted amazing, smelled amazing, had really good bag appeal, and yielded extremely well. Was extremely lucky that we didn’t have heavy rains that year because I suspect it could’ve been prone to getting mold or powdery mildew, but luck was on our side. Black cherry soda is another amazing strain that I had a pleasure to grow one year, outdoors as well. She got thrown in late due to l, I believe a Florida lemon seedling that came crashing down during some heavy winds and didn’t have enough supports. During week three or four through six and seven it had these amazing bright neon pink hairs, that turned dark red when cured. When finished it had one of the most exotic smells and tastes I’ve ever come across, it literally smell and tasted just like cherry cola candies. I’m definitely going to check to see if she ever released any feminized seeds of the black cherry soda, I would snag them in a heartbeat. I did have some plushberry seeds but lost those, all my other packs of seeds, and my really good bag seeds I had in my vault when I left California. Shady people suck but it was definitely a lesson learned.

The plushberry pheno that I grew was completely green, no purple at all even though it did get pretty cold during the nights up in the mountains especially in late September and early October, extremely frosty, no pink hairs like the black cherry soda clone I grew, was one of the quickest flowering strains I’ve ever grown (was even done before our green crack cut), and made absolutely amazing extracts. It was pretty close to tasting like the black cherry soda clone but had a little bit more of blackberry funk. She had big old baseball bats everywhere even the lower inner nugs were absolutely rockhard and about the size of a golf ball. Out of a pound of flower I got 108 g back(not the best return but not the worst either) and her cherry flavor was definitely magnified 10 fold. Tasted like a cherry lifesaver that was lightly drizzled with blackberry jam. She was definitely my go to strain right before bed, and I would love to get my hands on a pack or two of plushberry again. When I seen plushberry was discontinued I’m not gonna lie my heart sank a little bit, to be honest I didn’t realize all this drama was unfolding. I was kind of wondering why breeders like MZ Jill, Jinxproof, and others went their separate ways. I remember binge watching weed nerds and Mendo dope’s videos of growing out TGA genetics at the hotels after outdoor season was done. Definitely going to keep my eyes open to see if she released or is going to release any black cherry soda crosses.

Beginning the mid 2000's youtube weed stars blew up. I remember "Subsoil's" chats an name drops to fame and his whole "I am quitting smoking weed" bit. Then starts smoking weed on camera again. I mean, it's his decision, but it looks bullshitty. I emailed him about trying to get some seeds but no-one ever responded. His dealings with john "thefarmer420", and the "Mendo dope" boys were fairly short lived. Searching for the real deal super soil and growing techniques was difficult and most of it was pieced together. I looked through the this forum's history and they dropped in and then quickly left. I tried watching and reading up and all these big CA names but, they almost never have any good advice. Only repping their own brand of products. Its a business, it get it, but they all come off all hippy and all that, but i guess mannish pony-tails mean money in this business.

I also followed a lot of the Canadian and midwest growers, which were much more helpful.

Know it's an old thread, but Dmann sounds REAL familiar from the mid 2000's.... all in a good way.
 
I got a few packs of MzJills gear. I have her jilly Bean Black Cherry, Jilly Bean Bubblegum, Jilly Bean F2, Jilly Bean Grape, and the Flav. Most excited to see what the Flav can do, even though its not the original that made me fall in love with TGA gear.

I thought about picking up some Plushberry from her to add to my TGA collection.
Then I thought about all the ugly stuff she put Sub through during their divorce and the unflattering things she has said about him since his death.
Thinking about that helped me come to the conclusion that I'd rather see her big nose starve than give her a penny.

Dr Underground sells plushberry S1's, I haven't grown them don't know if they are any good
