when females are stressed they produce male pollen sacs in order to preserve the species.
Since the DNA in the sacs are female (because they are from the female plant)
When pollinated with a non hermie. the outcome should be fem seeds...

So ive heard. Thats why i wanna do the experiement

Hmm interesting makes sense though I guess, weird too though. Guess we'll see when the experiement is done...

Hermaphrodite genetics are all female, however they are hermaphroditic females. Hermie seeds won't give you sensimilla, just more hermies.

Glad you're back to pumped up about the box dude. Looking good as they should.

Thanks man. yeah just needed a better video to look at to get me back in the spirit, lol. So I think I'm gonna keep 'em like this til wednesday and flip 'em. Whatcha think, is it long enough to actually get some growth out of those new bud spots once they flower? or is the fact that they have leaves there at all enough to start flowering?

Thanks Bill, +rep. Research I did after this post made me smarter. Proof you're never done learning, ever.

Just thought I'd share the information I gathered. I had been told by several growers that hermie produced seeds would always go hermie and accepted it at face value. Reading that article by Soma sorta whipped me in the face with a bit of shock. WTF? So I'm wrong now?! I know he sure as fuck isn't! Apparently in order to produce feminized seeds that won't go hermie you need a new plant. Same strain, but not identical genetics. The female pollen (hermaphroditic) must pollinate a new female of the same strain (or different if you'd like to cross, as the man said). If you are cloning, gather hermie pollen, and pollinate your next batch of clones you'll end up with hermie seeds. If growing from seed. . . . it works flawlessly apparently.

That's one of the many articles I read about fem seeds. I was going to do the colloidal silver method, but I don't like the idea of putting chemicals on the plant.

Well If I can get like 100x fem seeds or 90% fem seeds Ill just grow from seed until the last batch of seeds and do it all over again

Seeds do take forever but it's a lot of fun watching something so tiny turn into something so beautiful. I'm germinating 5 right now and hoping to get one out of it
