Yes, your top colas look like shit man. They look nowhere near as magnificent as they once did, and they are likely to not look as magnificent again in their lifetime. They'll bounce back, but not be as bushy as before. Remember how fast your plant was taking up vertical space and we wanted to slow it down? We've slowed it down dude, but theres a reward lurking amidst your unenlightened pain and sorrow. High producing colas do not happen in CFL growing, the light isn't intense enough for them to build true weight. They can look big, but they're real fluffy and it takes 4 nugs to pack a bowl.

Allow me to direct your attention to below your colas. The top of a budsite always produces the most green. . . . . look at that gorgeous field of budsites waiting to be born. Your cola's are thin enough now to lower light between them. Your upper budsites will develop, the lower internodes on the colas will have over double the light, and all those tips. . . . . . . I didn't count them but those billions of tips? -they'll have over triple the light intensity.

Your plant lacking leaves is just fine, I'm going to recommend another minor trim into flower even. When your plant buds, its going to grow bud leaves that supplies the bud with most of its energy. Its gonna be fine, your plants are reacting very well. I'd like to see the top cola's a little more pretty but hell. . . that field of dreams below them warms my heart.

And u want me to do more pruning when it buds you mean? like pruning some of the bud leaves or get rid of some fan leaves to make room for bud leaves? When should I do that?

Ya know what I learned about MJ growing bro. There are way better suited soils out there for growing marijuana than Miracle Grow. There are certainly better ferts also. There's better lights to grow MJ with then CFL's. There's better things to plant your plants in than rubbermaid totes. There's better things to move air around your box then desk fans. Some people swear by topping, some by FIM'ing and some by LST'ing. Others say leave them the hell alone. Some say CFLs are the best for veg. Some say MH. Most say HPSs are best for flowering. People use bat shit, worm shit, styrofoam, perlite, vermiculite, bags of soil, bricks of soil, top soil, bottom soil, middle soil, and fucking everything in between.
All the ways are different and a lot of them are right. After all if you can smoke the end product you succeded on some level. Just depends on which level you ned to get to, to be happy about it.
Long story short, there's more than one way to skin a cat, the best way is with a knife, but there are many other ways.
There's more than one way to grow a weed, the best way is in nature or to replicate nature as best you can(or do better), but there are many other ways.
As long as I get smokable herbals outta my grow I'm not gonna let anyone bother me with that shit anymore.
Sure I can do better....but I could do a lot worse too.
I say do whatever you can do to keep this beautiful green goddess being spread all over the world. And if that means growing it in chunks of shit using acid to water them then so be it.

Me too man. Never once thought I'd actually grow weed, let alone be pretty decent at it, lol. I love it. I'm more addicted to growing then I am to smoking.............yeah right but it's close, lol

It will more than likely speed your flowering process up a bit, I usually just let the plants work the way they want to work. It won't do any harm. I tried 24 and 48 with the same strain, trying it with different strains wouldn't tell me jack on speeding up flowering. Pro seeds will say 7-9 weeks, 11-14 weeks, etc so to really know its effect on a strain you'd have to do a grow without going dark for 24-48, then do the same genetics again, give them the darkness and compare flowering times.

Hopefully the message I sent you will give you background information on getting lights down into the grow, use that knowledge critically and I think you'll get it. If you're going to prune in flower, I'd just lose the water leaves (i.e. the leaves it has now) that are blocking light to the bud sites. Never trim a bud leaf.

Speaking of bud leaves I know your poor broke ass doesn't have any money. Plan on making hash with your bud trimmings. Research hash making methods using cheese cloth or screen - thats the cheapest and safest, going the water route won't be cost effective and you're dealing with small amounts.

I'll look into the cheese cloth/screen methods. Do I not have enough weed to use the bubble bags? cause I fiund the set of 4 bags that usually sells for like 50 bucks on amazon for like 26 plus shipping.

The guys you see in tutorials rolling out paper plates stocked with hash are pulling down at least 3 pound harvests. You'd probably save $20 going with screen.

Water saves time on huge amounts of hash and theres always the question "am I doing this wrong" "did I use enough ice" "did I agitate it long enough"

Screen is - crush dried leaves. Sift over screen. Collect.

I would never use a screen if I had large amounts of bud trimmings to go through, it'd just take way too fucking long. With the trimmings you have, screen is probably the right tool for the job.

I'm sitting here watching jeopardy, talking with you guys and grinding up all those leaves I pruned off my plands in my 4 piece grinder and then rubbing my finger through the weed over the screen. i've actually been taking pics to post on here too, lol

If you have a chance watch the whole video. Ready set grow Vol. 1 and Vol. 2 they are all on youtube and have some decent info on them. Nothing really special but grow vids are always cool.

I used the iso method on the three plants i had to tear up, and it turned out pretty well. only had to spend 3 bucks on a bottle of rubbing alchohol.
