My seed sprouted with a black stripe on the taproot

This is a freebie mac 1 that I got from expert seeds, wich sadly Im having 0% germation rate (the other strain that I bought from them had 100% germination rate using same method and conditions). But one thing that I noticed on the mac 1 that hatched is this ugly black stripe on the tap root, sadly from this pack, the seeds that endup hatching have this black thing on the taproot, and ended up not developing.

So what is this? Contamination?

Mac 1 strains/crosses are notorious for germination issues. I tried a Mac 1 pack from Scapegoat. None germinated. Was the weirdest thing. I emailed the breeder and was sent a different strain in replacement and those seeds did fine. Good luck I hope your Mac seeds make it.

i've tried to pop old seeds i lost for a long time and then found, a few germed and grew, a few did that^ ,
so i'm guessing they may be old?

Put seeds in a half full cup of water, wait 18-24 hours if thr seed is still floating give it a little tap and it should sink. Then wait little longer and boom 100 percent germ rates never had it fail me!

Thanks, I hope so, really looking for the flavour of this strain.

Put it in dirt and stop playing around fool!
Its a weed, not a freaking plant baby you need to constantly fuck with
I think this was literaly my problem here on previous atempts, I've put the seed too early with taproot too small, and the seed just sat there for 1 week with no development, and after that they were basically dead, and I lost the seeds and 7 days of growing time.

Now I will let the taproot get a little bigger before I put it in the soil because in my experience it incrased the success rate.

Like @CaliRootz88 mentioned, this seeds are a pain in the ass to germinate, so I have to pay extra atention.

Sounds like you are just overwatering the seeds in dirt to me. No oxygen no roots!
