My Nirvana Ice Journal

Alright the girls are at 7 days of 12/12 now. They are stretching and growing like mad. The speed with which this breed grows is really eye opening. The stems are thick and I am hoping that's to hold up nice buds? You can see in the whole room pic how the Ice are much larger than my other plants. I really cannot ask for them to be healthier.

The last couple of pics are 2 Ice I placed in new DWC buckets I built. I have never used DWC but I am hoping for a positive experience. I took the clones in them from my aero cloner yesterday. The have very little roots so I decided to cover them with the red buckets. Under the buckets the plants are getting some really nice diffused light. The temp. is staying up a bit and amazingly, they are keeping moisture really well. I didn't need to spray them after the first spraying yesterday. When I checked them this morning the same amount of moisture was present and all 4 of them are praying nicely. The net pots are large though and it may take more than a few days of covering? I am expect these 4 plants to be very large. I have a 1000W MH I may add to bloom when these 4 are ready for that.

Ill update next weekend.

Sorry for the late update.

So I changed my room around some. I am flowering with my MH now as a meter told me my hps was done. I also moved the Ice to the back of the room. They have grown considerably and I am completely impressed with the breed, way to go Nirvana! I will likely order again from Nirvana.

They dry out about every 3 days and I am feeding 3/4 gl each.they have pre-buds forming. They are all female but I will keep a close eye out for herm's. Check back in a week.

Update- So a while ago I had to change to my MH cause my HPS is bunk. I am considering buying a new one when the need permits. They plants are loving the light. I added some CFL's to the ends for more light. i could easily use a 600 watt in here too.

The Ice have almost stopped growing. I doubt I will see more than 2" more from them. I am following DG soil feeding schedule. Pro-Tekt, Bloom, Mag-Pro is all their on for now. I have been throwing in 1/2tsp of molasses every other watering. The molasses will be off and on till harvest. I will also add Sweet and in week 5-8+ I will be using FF Beastie Bloomz off and on. The Ice will probably have to be transplanted again before they are finished. Their root growth is wonderful. The roots are so dense.

Flowers are developing nicely. I have started testing some methods in grow that may produce nice results? I have topped at node 3 which should give me 6 nice colas. This breed has shown to stretch. I am constantly supercropping every one of them.

I had started 4 plants in DWC buckets. This week I bought 4 GH waterfarm parts kits and turned the DWC's into drip/DWC units. I noticed grwoth from them in less than 12 hrs after installation. I am growing 4 different plants in them. They are Strawberry Cough, Ice, Purple Wreck, and a Chronic. I will be starting the Chronic later.

Last is a Chronic I got that was infested with mites. She has been in quarantine for more than 3 weeks. She looks a lot better don't you think? She has had no signs of bugs for more than 2 weeks.

OK, so I had an issue I found a week ago. I had a light coming on in the bloom room during the night.
Bad news: They are three weeks behind.
Good news: There are no herm issues.
My plants are all healthy and not normally stressed. They have all started flowering again but unfortunately I lost three weeks of dev. time. I could continue to feed to try and make up the lost time but I have to stay on schedule.

Hey I'm growing ICE right now as well, I'm on week 6 flowering and they're truly icey haha. my advice is to make sure you're on top of providing enough nitrogen and MAGNESIUM. I've run into a huge magnesium defeciency that came out of nowhere, so make sure you add some epsom salt if mg isn't already in your nutes.
