MY Heart Aches

I just feel so sad. I've known that some of my friends were using heroin for awhile now. Which I hate so much, but people do as they please.

But now they are all booting it..... and sharing the same needle. Atleast 10 people are using the same needle.

I work in a pharmacy and anyone can buy a needle for around a dollar.

I really hate to do it, but I kinda want to buy them a pack of needles..... is that wrong?

Wow, tough situation. I agree though, better to buy the needles then have them spread something to one another.

Totally sucks, buy them needles and it looks like you're condoning it when it's not the case.

I don't at all condone it, I just hate to see it going down like that. I can just see funerals in the near future.

I think it's pointless... nice gesture but a pointless one nonetheless. Think about it, even if you bought 10 needles, how long will that last amongst a handful [10 or more like stated] of heroine addicts? A day, if that... your going to dish out $10+ dollars per-day on needles? Because it's almost pointless to buy needles for only 1 day or 2 days... might as well save the money. It's like going on a diet for a week, you might as well have never started if you weren't going to keep up on it. Same goes here, do you really think you'll keep up on buying a pack of 10 needles everyday? I mean, you said yourself there is 10 of these f*ckers AT LEAST - so that tells me 10 needles will only last 1 shoot amongst 10 people... your going to be spending a lot of money my friend...

I know the typical response would be "I only plan to buy HIM needles not HIS friends..." but what good does that do? He's still going to share. His friends will still use the needles you bought one way or another, whether he gives em one or shares one. I understand where your coming from with this & most conservative people would say your a bad friend for not getting help instead your trying to help supply him, but your really not. It's like drug dealers, people always say "Your ruining peoples lives selling them that crap!" But in reality, they're not... if they don't get it from me, they'll get it somewhere else.

The very act of selling it makes it available to people who might have never gotten any of it.

idk i just respect myself and my only life enough to where I want to never see that shit going down in my house.

Its what the clinics do.

Do what you can, it's not like they'll stop when they run out of needles right?

Just be like, look, "I really hate this... but here is some ganja, and some clean needles... last thing your getting from me like this I just want you to think about where you are going with all this""

I guess you could hope that there's still a shred of your friendship left that they would see the gesture of giving them needles as a sign they have issues.

Highly doubt that would be the case though when it comes to heroin junkies.

Kinda too little too late now isn't it....I mean if they have already shared needles using a clean needle now isn't going to kill the AIDS virus or the Hep C virus......Having said that when I have been confronted with similar circumstances I said my piece then left them to it......After all, we all have the power to make a decision.

It's not too late, and explain to them that even using YOUR OWN needle several times might get you infected with something. However, do not try to "force" them to quit. Just say what you want once, and then let it be. In my country, needles are free to all junkies (several sites around town) - and they even have one official place, inside, with nurses, where they can shoot up safely (with antidote on standby, in case people overdose). And yes, it is very illegal in my country. But the police are staying away from that needle-room (they could bust everyone as they enter).

A mutual friend of a friend just OD'd on heroin a few weeks ago, she was 24... quite sad, I remember jamming NIN with her during crazy nights in New Orleans, she was very happy back then.

I have read that Kind bud put a big dent in the Mexico drug cartels money.
They responded by producing an selling more heroine.

That shits soooo bad.
The withdrawls alone can kill you.

I decided not to buy any. You guys are right, The damage is done. I'm just gonna live and forget the people they used to be.

Just really depressing, I don't wanna see anyone like that.

Do it. It won't accomplish much but it will show that you care about them hurting themselves which is all you can do when someone is killing them self.

For some reason I don't think telling a junkie that the stuff is bad will change their mind. Literally they have been on the shit for a year or more. That is why they are bootin it cause snorting it doesn't do it no more.
