Do it. It won't accomplish much but it will show that you care about them hurting themselves which is all you can do when someone is killing them self.
You can't make someone change, i'm all for compassion but a junkie is a junkie anyway you look at it. I don't think I'm gonna "save" them.

You can only help yourself.

Strongly agree balzac, sadly i had an ex addicted to crack and blow, after many failed attempts at begging, yelling, crying i finaly just left, it sucked cause i had been with this guy over 5 years. I blamed myself because We went down to New Brunswick for xmas 2000 and he asked if he could do some blow. I reluctantly said yes but only because it was the holidays, when we got back it took him a few weeks and he was addicted. Lat year i got the call i knew would come from his mom, he had overdosed and passed away. Having to bury someone i thought i would marry sucked but it was all because of the choices he made.

Just be a good friend and tell them how you feel, i'm not so sure about handing out needles, seems kinda like helping them, but i get wanting to prevent them from getting sick.

I hope your friends smarten up, if not maybe you should find new friends buddy, sorry man i know it sucks

I just feel so sad. I've known that some of my friends were using heroin for awhile now. Which I hate so much, but people do as they please.

But now they are all booting it..... and sharing the same needle. Atleast 10 people are using the same needle.

I work in a pharmacy and anyone can buy a needle for around a dollar.

I really hate to do it, but I kinda want to buy them a pack of needles..... is that wrong?

I know exactly how you feel bro. I've only got 2 junkie friends left that haven't died yet. 5 or so are already six feet under. As far as the needles go, those friends of yours are junkies, they are going to bang that shit whether you give them needles or not. Chances are it's too late and unfortunately they already got the Hep C or worse. You can't help anyone that doesn't want to help themselves. My advice is to have an intervention and ship them off to rehab or just completely forget about them because they are no longer your friends, they are now junkies. It hurts but they are just going to bring you down with them, emotionally or worse.

They can get needles free.........even here in hard core anti drug texas clinics give out needles and the walgreens Drug stores here will give free needle if someone comes to the counter and ask...................and not get turned in to the cops.............if it makes you feel good do it............but Im with most ppl its a waste on them........they wont stop the junk and one pck of needles is pissing in the wind..................Im very sorry for your friends but reality is one pack of needles is just clearing your consionce not thiers...........and I dont mean to sound rude when I say that.............Ive lost brothers over the years to that nasty drug and to meth...........Im a diebetic and I get needles free and have over the years given out packs but to no avail.............I had to question myself why I did it........tough on you when they are friends...............do what you feel is right.......nobody on this sight can judge you for what you do...........I think what they are all saying is they are on herion one pack is not going to save em...........its a cruel world and like the saying goes on the strong will survive.............best of luck to your friends and I hope you can come to terms with your thoughts..........take care.............

You're 100% right. You can't save anyone from themselves but you can always offer to help someone up.

It's just a shitty situation to be in watching your friends self destruct. I feel for you bro.

And the needles wouldn't help but maybe they would start a conversation.

I hate hearing stories about drug addictions. It's a total bummer. You wish you could simply snap your fingers and get them out of it, but you can't you feel almost helpless, as they are feeling helpless to break the addiction. It's really a hard thing to go through.

tip top, I think you have some mental issues you need to work out bro. seriously. not trying to be a dick or anything, but you seem a little bipolar.

Sorry to hear ya have to go through this its sad so many in the world have to sit and watch others do these things...I have to disagree some people can be saved but its hard to want to beat an addiction..I say some can be saved because I know my brother used to slam in front of me started at 10 was into meth, coke as well everyone thought he was lost its taken him more than 10 years to toss most of his habits and sometimes slips and back to meth he goes but relapse is part of recovery.. My thing was coke and pills wasn't too hard to ditch the blow but the pills its a struggle not much ya can do they must want the change however personally I feel that clean needles will help! It can prevent them from spreading anything further I have personally taken people down to the free clinic to get needles told them I don't condone it but least it can help prevent the spread of things everyone of those people using can get free clean needles...just my thoughts hope all works out for ya buddy
