I think centrifrugal is the way to go for sure, you're right about the power needed for the filter and better safe than sorry.

So i decided to check on my seedlings 12 hours or so from the last time i watered them and they didn't seem to be doing so good, so i re-watered them,,, my veneno is looking more less the same with its cock eyed stare but the cotyledon are looking discolored to me almost brown or yellowish, my Burmese Kush was wilted, and my critical + automatic is looking better than all of my older baby's... I am starting to get concerned the plants really do not seem to be growing at all,,, as i have said i read that most of the growth will be underground for the first few weeks but they do not seem to be growing up top at all, and the purple stems, the non-growing leaf sets, and yellowing cotyledon are starting to concern me... I don't know what i could possibly be doing wrong a side from having the lights to close or not watering enough, i raised the lights to 3 inches because i can afford some stretch and because i wanted to avoid any drying out of the medium if i could... But i am still not sure what the issue is could any one with experience tell me how often i should water my freshly transplanted hempys, I've tried googling it but i cant get a straight answer...

Make sure you are not over watering as well. Those cotyledon leaves will eventually yellow->brown and die. Also check your ph to make sure you have it in the 5.8-6.2 zone. Are you using tap or RO? If you are using RO you may need calmag but i'm not sure how early this is required!! I know it is needed later in the plants cycle. Check and learn when your plants need water, if the container is light - water, if it still has weight to it, wait another day and check accordingly. Not sure why you keep running into problems. Go back to KISS and maybe freshen up on some basics. Not saying that is the problem but something is going on, if you keep running into issues!! Peace.

Sorry to read of the plant trouble.
Hopefully with a little TLC they will come good.

I know the cotyledon should yellow up and die but that's at around the 4-5 node I've only got 1 real leaf on each of the plants, i am using RO water and i was thinking about cal mag possibly being an issue because of the purple stems but i wasn't sure, i figured that the cotyledons would provide cal mag until i started fertilizing and using tap water, I'm using straight RO water and the last time i tested it i believe it came out in about the correct PH range but i will have to calibrate my PH meter and test it again, i figured PH wouldn't be that important if its getting the nutes from its own leaves. As far as the watering issues go i don't know if i'm over watering or under watering as i said I've tried finding the answer to how much to water freshly transplanted seedlings in hempy but there was not a lot of information i could find, i have been watering once per day around the same time every day, i hadn't really considered the possibility that i could be over watering because i was operating under the presumption that the plants had not reached the res yet, the seedlings are 9 days old what do you guys think?

Yeah that is rock wool they are in, and i don't think it should cause any PH issues, i hope I'm just being paranoid about there being a problem lol,

Apart from the cotyledons the little leaves look healthy and the critical auto looks as it should,at least to me anyway.

Yeah i dunno they seem reasonably healthy and don't seem to much different from 3 days ago a side from the yellowing that and the lack of growth are just making me paranoid, i hate doing things for the first time i mean i generally know what I'm supposed to do I'm just worried i will fuck it up...

First off leave them in the hempys, Do not pull them out to check the roots. Since they are in RW, i'd recommend watering straight on the RW every other watering. For all your other waterings, pour the PH'd water/solution down the side of the hempy, so the RW doesn't get over saturated and drown the seedling out. I'd say that is more than likely the problem with a possiblity of a slight ph issue. Your RW may take 3-5 days to dry out and the rez maybe every 2 days. They look healthy tho, so probably not a PH issue, but over watering and the roots are getting starved for air. I wouldn't give them any nutes till you get to about the 4th-5th node, but that's just me. Patience my friend, they should start showing some growth soon. :)

Eh this is making me nauseated, i hope they don't die cause if they do i have no idea how I'm going to get seeds again, thanks for the advice on watering shag I'm going to take it I'm also gonna get this PH meter calibrated so i can check the PH of my water, lol shag I'm laughing at the bold from your last post because you know me so well, i have been seriously contemplating doing a 1/2 a transplant so i could check on the roots. next time I'm going to put them in clear solo cups and wrap them with tape so i can take a look.

Here are some pictures from today, the veneno appears to be leaning a little more and have its leaves more tilted, the burmese kush's leaves are twisting and the critical + seems to be doing fine...

So i finally found my PH meter manual which tells me how to calibrate it, and i gotta say i should have had this shit done the day i started germinating my plants, the water i have been watering my plants with came in at 4.5-4.7, i don't know how this is possible i was under the assumption that pure water which RO is supposed to be should measure about 7.0, so i checked the TDS and its less than 5 ppm, i guess the lesson here is never assume always test. I guess now the real question is which is better watering now and risking over watering or letting the plants set in the wrong PH water for the next 12 hours, and what do i do if the cotyledons fall off...

At least you know now and although they are not too unhealthy you nwill have them right as rain in a couple more waterings.
