My ghetto setup

Decided to make use of an unused shower stall in my basement. Just got a 400w MH today and hung it up.
I still need to light-proof the stall, but as I plan on vegging for a few more weeks, I'll get to that later.




And my 25 day old baby started under CFL...


Now I've a few grown a few times in the distant past, but I've never seen leaves this beefy before. It is bag seed from Seattle.
Any guess as to what species (indica or sativa) it might be?
Comments, suggestions, advice welcomed.

you can grow some real shit here, but for the next coupla weeks at least this shit is way overkill. One little cfl would be alright for the next two weeks.

also when you water water the pot fully not just a little bit.

Your set up is actually pretty decent put some more plants in there or grow that one really big for some decent yield. Judging by the leaves and compact growth I would say your plant is on the indica side but its still very young.

Thanks for the reply. Yeah, I know it's overkill at he moment but the lamp will be getting more use soon. I have some Misty coming from the Doc in the next week or so (hopefully). The little water patch in the pic was from my GF. She has since been corrected on the ways of watering.

Appreciate the comment. Yeah, I was thinking it might be an Indica strain also. It's pretty compact. Once I'm able to see some pre-flowering, I'll know if it's a keeper.

Nice size vertically grow cab! Its perfect for 2 really tall onces or just shortin it a bit and use the top part for a small Veg room. There is plenty room for a little grow op. Keep it up, it looks like my bag seeds on my grow which is def. an indica plant.

you should veg till its atleast 1ft or taller, make use of that tall space. Get a bigger yeild.

Yeah, what he said. At least, I wouldn't go any taller than 1ft before you flower, maybe even shorter. A 400w light doesn't have much penetrating power. If you grow a tall plant, the buds on the bottom won't get enough light to mature to anything all that worth while. I would advise to try to keep your plants short and bushy. Either SOG or train them to take up all the horizontal space available.

All that vertical space won't do you much good without a really strong light I'm sorry to say. I could be wrong though.
