My flowers started smelling like bad breath but it looks fine.

One day I opened up the tent and it started to smell a bit like bad breath, so I chopped it and now it's been hanging for 3 days, the bad breath still is there when i touch the bud, but when i squish the bud some more it smells normal and good.

No sign of bud rot, what could the stinky smell be?? bacteria?? is it still safe to smoke?? this is super depressing, it smells like tonsil stones fuck, lucky its only 1 plant thats effected..

Some weed smells like road kill or piss.

For real? The smell it gives off smells like it would give someone bronchitis. Weird that it also did not smell bad untill late late flowering, i was thinking i let it flower too long.

Fruity og kush from Montreal cannabis seeds, I think they messed up the seeds because all 4 plants smell, and look somewhat different.

you will see variation in plants, not all plants are created equal, you may get quite a few phenotypes within a batch of seeds. so i wouldent think they messed up (it is possable), it sounds like its differant phenos.

Thanks for the info! Here are pics taken about a month ago, this is the best photo I could find of the 4 plants together, blue line in the photo divides all 4 plants. If you can zoom in and look at the middle front plant, I swear that one smells like blueberry, and the smelly problem plant is located in the middle back.

Heres a video I found of the bad-smelling plant right before the chop, it's the one on the right side, the left side plant is what I believe to be blueberry??

Lots of strains can exhibit garlic-like funk , even foot cheese stank .

However , i would break down colas - to make sure there is no other reason ( mold / etc ) that would make an odor ( ammonia like ).

halitosis is not an uncommon terp, not popular among everyone but could just be how it's expressing

Just like ALPHA said. . .."halitosis" terps. Fairly desirable to some people. Personally i wouldn't hate it. Wouldn't choose it, lol, but wouldn't hate some stankbreath terps to break things up a little

I just started some new seeds, thinking about doing a piss powered 2×4 featuring karma OG, Northern Lights, and Sour biker

I end up jarring the buds, the smell is mostly gone now and it looks pretty damn caked

about the wrong strain issue, they may be all the same, just different phenos like mentioned above, i noticed the larf smells like blue berry on both plants..

Chemdawg is know for it's halitosis rank. And it is the main reason I don't like it. It comes through in many strains so most likely it is coming from the OG side of your cross.

It should be potent, let us know how it smokes..

which breeders blueberry? some can be funky? especially if it's a cross like akbb has a GMO x BB

Cannabis used to smell like carboxylic acids and sulfides before California started all their Barbie weed propaganda for the vape pen/pharma sales. I never smelled weed that didn't smell like an Indian gods body parts until I walked into a dispensary.

honestly man if it smells like bad breath when its in the jars i would not smoke it lol but one time i purchased some weed and it tasted and smelled just like garlic and fried onions no bs also another time i purchased some weed and it tasted just like pee(i still think they sold me peed on weed lmfao) i recently had a harvest that molded on me i tried my hardest too keep some bud around from that harvest but at the end of the day i had too throw everything away.
