stupid b.s. searches, i cant find any on google cuz it directs me to places i need to sign up to view pics, and the search on this site dosnt recognize "3, weeks" or "one month" as plant ages and just finds 1000s of threads with those words. only 1 monthers are top of the line pro hydro growers

well its just the first month older i could find, i was gettin tired of finding 1 at 1 month and i couldnt copy the pic cuz it was on another site, or declining it cuz it was hydro, so i took the first ner 1 monther i could find to illustrate my point. a well controlled plant is still short at one month

thats wierd, what could be up with those hints of purple on the tips of the new leafs? i really dont know my self, i dont think its from the lights at all. i think you should start a new thread in the plant problems section and ask whats up. you'll get more traffic there.

put the second picture(if not all of them), say your using a 24/0 light ctcle, you have used MG nute pellets nut took them out, the temp and any other details you can think of

honestly ive never seen anything like that where the tips are discolored but the whole thing still looks healthy and the older leafs are not effected

it dose look otherwise healthy

its kind of odd, dosnt look like a deficiency or burn, and it should be way too young for any rot or mold.

when you feel ambitious enough you should start that new thread

This is a quote from a thread i read today..just wondering what you guys think..

(talking about 24/0 lighting) "...The dark reactions are important for the plant to build up and move around essential biological components, ultimately it affects things like resistance to stress and sufficient root structure for further development."

After many grows I have noticed that running the lights 24/7 in the vegetative stage is of little use compared to 20/4 or 18/6. I also think that constant light without a rest period is not beneficial for the seedlings, puts your equipment under unnecessary stress and runs up your electric bill for no more than a 5-10% increase in weight, at the most.

And about the power bill..running that one fan.and then two 20w cfls.. is that gonna put a pretty noticable impact on my power bill?

Just wondering..

ya ive heard that argument too, 24/0 can be beneficial in the first few weeks, but there are pros and cons to it, neither of which out weigh the others.

as to the electricity bill question, my fist (attempt at a) grow was caught because my parents noticed a spike in the electric bill, so yes it can make a difference. but hey, this time of year people are running multiple ACs in the house, so theres a legitimate reason for it to spike
