My First Grow

Finally moved into a house with a basement and decided to make one of the rooms in it a small-scale grow room. I'll be using an Aeroflo2 20 with a T5 for veg and a 1000wHPS for flowering.

This is the basic idea of my setup (bit dark as I haven't got a heavy duty extension cord yet to turn the T5 on)

I still need a few components (plywood, staples (to finish putting the mylar up), extension cord, bit more venting hose and maybe some chicken wire) but I'll upload more pics when I get it completed.

Any constructive criticism would be greatly appreciated as this is my first time growing.

Thanks guys, I was afraid one 1000w HPS wouldn't be enough lighting for 20 plants BUT I figured the mylar would allow it to be at full potential which I figured would maybe make it sufficient. Any thoughts?

Well if you have the money get a light mover..then you will be set up...

I saw some at the hydro store when I picked up some of my stuff, I really thought about getting one, guess I should've at the time. Oh well, I'll pick up that and a few more items and finish constructing it tomorrow then post some pics tomorrow night.

Alright guys, I have a couple questions:
1.) I have 0 power outlets in the room I'll be growing in and I'm not really feeling running an extension cord from a light socket to power a 1000w light (fire hazard waiting to happen I think) so what should I do exactly?
2.) Do I need to put mylar above my lights? It would be a major hassle for me to do so in the room I'm using.

Answers will be appreciated.

Just get a roll of 12 2 electrical wire and some plugs and make a power cord ..its whats inside the walls any way..no mylar above the lights....happy growing...

So I decided to switch rooms and it turned out to be a great idea though it required me building a structure which only costed me about 75 bucks.

I'm supposed to be getting some clones soon, I'll keep updating from now on.

I broke a branch today while cleaning my drain, but I put a twist tie around it and hope it heals back up.

Gave them nutes today for the first time (besides the first time when I fucked up) at 5.8ph and 740ppm.

3 days later and the nutes are working well.

I think I'm getting the hang of this, haha.

The big one is ready to clone, but I'm gunna wait another week so I can take 12 at once, then go another 2 weeks in veg then flower.


These are babies, I don't know the strains of any of them, but they are supposed to be high quality.

It took me some time to get used to mixing up the proper nute solution but I got it going good now, though I had to throw away about 3 or 4 plants because they looked pretty feeble.

this is a great job brother!! i'm subbed. Nice plants with many branches, way to go!

Thanks! They're getting so beefy, they'll be ready for flower in about 2-3 weeks. I'm excited as hell.

Been about a week since my last update.


Big one is about 22' tall now, gunna have to move them to a new location soon and I'll update as soon as I put em into flower.
