My first grow! Skunk #1!

did you know something about the roots of cannabis being similar with cactus roots. I ask because i found some soil in shop, which says is for cactus. I wonder if is good for marijuana too, so i can use it for new bigger pots when i'll transplant.

Nope, I've never heard of the kind herb being similar to cactus. I've heard that it has similar needs to a tomato plant, but that's just word of mouth.

mean while (day 25) 2 of them starting to fell better, healthier, and bigger, the other 2, ..... i don't give them much time...

i just don't know how long it will take till i'll start the flowering phase. I mean switch to 12/24

two of the four plants i used to grow i just throw them because i transplanted the others 2, which looks healthier, and i don't have space to grow yet.

updates, can you tell what's with that reddish spots on the leaves?

The soil in your pics always look moist, I think you may be over watering. Do you have a moisture meter?

Got any of that soil you used leftover?

Make up a cup of soil just like you used. Feel how heavy it is.

Now pick up your plants. If they are heavier you should not water. When they dry out and feel almost as light as the dry cup of soil....water em.

Curling under of leaves is usually overwatering or overferting.

the brown spots you're seeing may be a mg deficiency but also may be associated with overwatering.

It's too bad you trashed the other 2 plants. You do realize that some..maybe all of these will be males..right? The more plants you have the better chance you have of getting a female.

Don't transplant into 5 gal pots right away. If you think it's growing slow now..stick it in a BIG pot where it has to grow tons of roots and you will see what slow growth is. A big pot like that also tends to stay too WET.. especially in the hands of a new grower.

thanks for advices, and btw... i didn't trashed the other 2 i gave it to a friend to take care

need some help... i decided to start using the HPS 400W asap, because i don't think they get enough light from those CFL's! I wanted to use the HPS just for flowering, but they are growing to slow....

I don't know how to put that socket on that reflecting thing..... so the bulb light remain horizontal like the last pic.

if you have your grow room at 76-80 degrees you light will be fine. also the 400w lights dont get to hot compared to 1000w lights

shit 400 make your desert so hot no weeds survive. all hid lamps are hot

40 day have been past and no sex show. from your experience, can you please post here after how many days you've seen the sex?

be patient dude, your a long way off.

your still in veg right?

seeing the sex in veg doesnt happen until the plant is mature enough, maybe from around 60 days plus.

normally you will see the sex around 3 days to 2 weeks after starting flowering

My Skunk #1s look way different than that..
