My first grow! questions for you within

View attachment 2262107from bagseed found on my floor behind a desk, 2 weeks vegged at this point under 2x23 watt CFLs(also flowered under the same lights). I ended up getting 3 7 inch colas off that plant totaling to about 3/4 oz. (took one of the 4 tops as a clone)

Thanks next time I will try that for sure, Full LST at 1 week or so and then in the next week you'll have tops like that? or what? I'm interested because that's a really nice plant, so please try to explain the LST or topping you used.

Just try to keep temps under 85 degrees, 81 is fine. try and get that humidity down closer to 30% though since they're flowering. You will have a lower chance of mold with a lower humidty, the plants have a hard time transpiring inside of the buds which causes it to be constantly moist at the center and causes mold to grow. Do you have any fan blowing directly on the plants? that is very important as well as having an exchange of fresh air in to the grow space

I actually FIM'd that plant. There is a lot of confusion as to what that actually means... What I did was top it so there was exactly 2 leaf sets, those grew into the four easy to manage tops you see in the picture. it takes very little time for the plants to grow when you don't use any nutrients at all for the first 3-4 weeks. This means start with seed starting mix and move to a hot organic soil after the seedling have their first 2 sets of real leaves.

Yeah I have a fan pretty much like the one you have at ground level, average house fan just on low, causing a bit of sway and happy movement.

No I totally understand! I fimmed my nicer plant and that's why its so nice and bushy.

it had 4 tops from fim and somehow i ended up with like 7 bud sights(or tops? not sure if lower ones count but they're definitely going) I tried a fim on an outdoor plant i have in veg and it failed, I didn't cut low enough i guess. Do you have a semi-reliable method for it to work properly? I fimmed the nicer plants 4th node when it was young.

I actually gave up on the whole fim thing, I grow much larger plants now than I used to (I did a few grows with cfls and small space). So now I just start with a clone and tie it down in a few directions, then I let all the branches grow up as tops, then I top those. So I end up with a fucking bush every time.

I got just 1 seed out of some really dank bud i had recently and I am PUMPED to grow it, better fucking not be a male haha.

Well I am back from Formula D Seattle, I took some pics tonight. Not many but it should be a pretty good look at them. Here goes.

July 22, Day 70 Mary, Day 47 of 12-12 and Jane. Day 25 Flowering Mary, Day 22 Flowering Jane.
I recently realized that the day count on Mary was wrong (the ugly one lol) its had some high stress from a young age and stuff so I don't blame it. I had it for 24/0 for 1 week until I burned it, then switched to 18-6 for another week and switched to 12-12 but was still counting from the 18-6 count because it was still vegging. So Mary(The ugly 2top) is 70 days and WAAY Behind its younger sister flowering-wise right? Is it just probably a slow flowering strain or because of the stress? It's looking better since feeding it Big bud & iguana juice bloom. anyways here's the pics.
Temps are down to 75 high/70 low. humidity is down a bit 50% high and 47% low today.

mary is probably flowering slow for a combination of reasons. im guessing stress, and not enough light energy are the main cause... wat is goin on with ur fan leaves though, you should take a close up because it looked like some of the new growth has burns. hard to tell from the shot but it looks like light burn, which is unlikely considering ur lighting setup. it might just be the photograph or my eyes playing tricks on me, also the fact i havent slept since yesterday isnt helping xD

Nice grow man, read the thread, good to see they are growing so nicely!! Lst wouldhave helped a lot to keep them lower and more bushy, to get the budsites closer to the light! I just learned how to do it and my plants have been lst'd for about 1 day now and I can already see a difference! Like seeing cfl grows kick ass!

This thread reminds me of the good old days, back when a grow didn't have to cost $2000+..

Thanks for the support guys, I'm feeling pretty good about my first grow. Atleast with the one plant, the other one is starting to actually flower though I am thinking about fixing the days and saying its week one because it seemed to veg after showing sex even in 12-12. idk. But they are definitely going!

Nice dude, doesn't matter how far you are into flowering or if they are going slow, they look very good, especially the one that's busy flowering already! Keen to see the end product, how the buds will turn out with your wattage system and everything. You are doing well. Especially when you look at your amount of light, good job! Hoping mine will start to produce buds aswell now, but its still week 1 flower! How long did it take for your buds to actally start forming?

With that plant I had veg'd it for 3 days of 24hour light and then put it to 12-12. It's 29 Days flowering today and 54 days from breaking ground. showed sex pistols(hey i just got that) at 25 days from seed. 28 days from there and that's my most recent pics.

DO NOT FLUSH a plant in soil! It won't remove any nutes, just makes more available to the plant...causing greater harm, with no added good effects...
The bast thing you can do is not water until the cup/pot you are using is feather light...that is when you know to water...
Too much water and your soil will overfeed your plant...which is what has happened in this instance.

I just realized you might of been talking about the slow budding one. it was like 76 days old in my most recent pic, it showed sex a long time ago under 12-12 even but i didnt have alot of lumens then and that plant had a lot of stress. It showed some pistols but didnt really do much flowering for weeks after that. I'd say it didnt really start flowering until the 18th or so so like 65 days to start really flowering, now its starting to go. Pics in 2 days.

Aug 4, Day 83 Mary,Day 59 12-12 & Jane. Day 14 Flowering Mary, Day 35 Flowering Jane.
Having some issues this week my leaves are yellowing off and falling off, it's too soon for that right? look at the pics and tell me the solve. I havent done anything different really but gave them one extra watering. today was really hot.. exceedingly hot.. probably too hot.. grow room got to 88 degrees. so I didn't take pics till late. Anyways, Exactly 4 weeks flowered so far for the nice one. Should I stop feeding Big bud or 1 or 2 more feedings? well i guess it depends on what i have to do to help them out right now I guess too.
