well when the rest of the world's scientific institutions start using your opinion instead of the IACR data, then I will also waste 2 precious weeks of the flowering time to starve my plant & force it not to use its full potential, but that will never happen so I'll keep on growing correctly & to the full potential of what the plant is capable of.

Todays answer for the chem grower is to give high levels on P earlier in flower balanced with a bigger boost of K ie PK 13:14 is added on top on the normal flowering nutrient. this is dropped just after the middle period of flowering when it has mainly done it job of promoting heavier flowering. Its only if the normal flowering nutrients after PK are pushed right to the end that you still get bad problems.
With the newer nutrients I would just advise reducing feed input over the last 2 or 3 weeks and just water for the last week.
In compost using organic nutrients, there should not really ever be a problem with feeding up to cutting the plants, if feed is reduced to supply just enough to keep the plants healthy at the end of flowering.
At the end of the day the reason there is a problem, is overfeeding.

It is advised that you stop using your cannabis flowering fertilizer 2 weeks before harvest time to ensure that all chemicals are out of the plant. If chemicals are in the plant when you harvest, the smoke will be very harsh. To prevent harshness, flush the plants heavily with fresh water 2 weeks prior to harvesting them. Ensure you flush at least 3 times the capacity of your pot. So a 4 gallon pot would be flushed with 16 gallons of fresh water. From that point water your plants with pure water, absolutely NO additives should be given to the plant. This is especially important if you have been using chemical fertilizers.
This is the time when the bulk of the final, "usable" part of the plant is produced. As you may well already know, there are over four hundred separate chemicals associated with cannabis and her effects. It is during the final bud-building stage that most of these chemicals are produced. Thus, it is very important to give the plant as much pure water as possible during this crucial period. I like to remember it as the "rinse" and "flush" cycle. Simply remember to give the plants only water for the last two to three weeks in order to rinse and flush them clean. This is to purge unwanted impurities from the plant.Pot that has been fertilized right up to harvest is harsh to smoke, sometimes the joint will even sizzle and pop as unmetabolized fertilizer salts combust. Unflushed pot leaves black ash, is hard to keep lit and burns your throat. Rinse & flush cycle, priceless. My washing machine has one of those.Water will not wash nutrients out of soil. If it did my lawn would be dead. Farmers would have to fertilize after heavy rain.Thanks for that i needed a good laugh.

It still wont make flushing do what you think it does! if you want to add something constructive then bring some proof that "flushing" works... (real scientific proof, none of that rinse & flush bollox) until then I'll just treat you as the novice you obviously are as you haven't a clue what is being discussed here.
Use some friggin' common sense! If water washed nutrients from soil farm crops would fail after long bouts of rain. Nothing would grow in Oregon! Get some good soil flush it a 1000 times and it will still grow stuff as well as before!

you hit the nail on the head. i like to read alot of the post on here and theres always some dude with intent on explaining himself over and over and over again. ok we get it. we understand. you dont flush. in soil the nutes wont go anywhere. BUT in a potted plant guaranteed that if i pour ten gallons into say... a one gallon container it will relinquish some of it nutritional benefits. regardless, you dont flush. we get it. i am a novice, but very skilled at talking shit. oh and you want proof of my grow??? my weed can kick your weeds ass!!! there, proof.
