Oh I know it's long time from flower also but if you want a more up high harvest a few colas when the trichs are cloudy and not as amber yet, less potent but more energetic high, harvest when more amber for a high Thc content and the greatest high, or harvest when mostly amber for a really chill and relaxed high. Can find pictures by doing a search, this way you can get different qualities of high from the same bud, although the Thc of course will be different content, and there is more cbd in a late harvest as the Thc starts to convert a % over to cbd
Ah I did not know that that is useful information! As me and greenthumb were talking about earlier on I like just getting plain stoned haha I'm a big fan of couch lock lol

Haha, don't baby them to much though...over analyzing can cause you to take actions on the plant that would have otherwise been fine, no matter what you do make corrections in little parts rather than massive changes that shock the plants. I was a bit like that in my first week of hydro, but now I just check the temps few times a day and the ph morning and night so I can make small corrections.

on the other side I don't really care about my soil plants as they were just some extra seeds I germed over what I wanted in my hydro, in case some didn't pop, but my germination rates were high. I'm going to pop them outside somewhere after they have vegged for a few weeks and leave them to there own devices, if they pull a few ounces I'll be happy, if they die oh well, if they male up I might actually use them to cross with another fem in future.

i understand saving your fem seeds, they aren't cheap these days, I used just one of my fem seeds I bought (northern lights) the darkstar and sage n sour were freebies, 1 of each popped 1 of each didn't but that was my own fault cause I was messing around with different germination techniques and over heated the seeds. I also bought the ice regular x 10 but they were cheap, I used 5 of those 3 of which germinated, 2 in soil didn't.

Seeds keep for a long time so don't rush to use to many to fast, and if you find a strain you like mKe sure to try to clone a good plant so you can keep that strain going, my friend has a white widow strain he's been running for like 8 years now from clones. Changes out the mother once a year with the best clone.

Cool I'll take your advice, I think I have just been babying them so much because I'm trying to dial these temps in real good mainly at night I need a heater with a digital thermometer but I need to wait for my paycheck. Other than that you're right I need to just chill out. I've been doing better about it Greenthumb has helped me quite a bit. Now I got you helping out, it's all gonna come together I have a feeling lol oh yeah I bought royal queen special queen #1 x 10 and got the flower power (power flower) can't remember lol and white widow and the two regular kerala x skunk freebies

Haha yay for couch lock, now I have a lot of free time as just working 5-6 hours day 5 days week, but next year I'm hoping to start a double degree so I need to maintain more of a focus on study and work (couch lock does not help to complete assignments, haha) I don't smoke so much anyway at the moment as i refuse to buy some when I'm growing, so it's going to be few months for me till my plants are done, that's how I found out about different times to harvest cause trying to see if I pulled a couple of buds early what kind of high I was going to get out of it.

I have a few seeds from green house, they had good germination rates so far, but order also from attitude that I'm waiting for now will give me some more choices. Unfortunately it's stuck in Melbourne at the moment since the 14th. I'm going to try out Girl Scout cookies for my 2nd grow as well as a few clones, gsc is an og kush x but has much lower yields..apparently an awesome high and taste make up for that. Personal use only does not really warrant huge yields, I want to try many different strains and have a collection on the shelf , Hana so here is hoping we don't have issues and our plants grow well

You can check out my grow Journal, it has my first veg area, which is a DWC 15 pot system, although I wont ever be running 15 plants in it probably, just leaves more options for moving plants around.

My 2nd area is a 400w HPS veg and flower area that has a 6 pot system, both have dripper systems and the lids are interchangeable so when I get done growing in my closet space I can move the lid onto the box in the flower room, it is not a DWC it is a reservoir drip feed system that runs back to reservoir after water runs thru pots and over roots, more air on the root system provides greater oxygen and during flower creates an easy system to deal with flushing etc, as turn off the pump the water empty back into the reservoir and then I can flush plain water from top watering.

It is DIY built on the concept of a few other systems but with what I wanted for the space I have available, there are one or two things that are not perfect like carbon filter being at the bottom of cabinet as top space is to small for size carbon filter I have and no available ac for cooling in that room but I think it should be sufficient.

I am going to run a perpetual system and mine does matter about the smell, space etc as it is super stealth, the people I live with don't even know I have a grow op in my closet, they think the one outside is for growing tomatoes, I would tell them if they were a bit more open minded but unfortunately they aren't, hence why I also don't smoke to much here as the smell and atmosphere is not very friendly towards it.

But this keeps them blissfully oblivious which works in my favor

Yeah this is my first time so I don't really know how nutrient rich roots organic original is. It had dolomite lime in it. I think I should be okay waiting another watering though right? And Thank you!

i would not not be to concerned about that, the top growth is green and healthy so it should be fine, two of my stems had some white growth in them which just disappeared as they got bigger, I think like you said it may have been a temp issue also (in my case to hot).

You can water with nutes on your next feed if you like but instead of using the nutrient guide on the bottle just 1/4 strength the nutrients, and make sure to ph adjust the water after you add all the nutes. I started adding nutes at that stage of growth and my plants loved it.

there was a post somewhere around a guy stated light to plants is like food to us, you can eat and eat but eventually your going to get full, meaning plants use light to grow but once they get to a certain amount of lumens the light becomes less beneficial. On the other hand you give children vitamins to be healthy but if given to many they will become sick, this relates to nutrients, a schedule of the least nutrients possible will encourage your plants to grow more but prevent any problems from over feeding (providing nutrients are in the range that they won't suffer any deficiencies).

Basically what hat he was saying is high lumens equates to maximum growth
a low nutrient schedule even less than recomended by the products your using but within a range that allows plant to get all the nutes they need will result in less problems from over feeding.

Ah I get it :) I was thinking of giving some nutes next time. Just 3 ml of grow and some cal mag since I use distilled water.
