My first grow DWC problems. HELP!!!

Then see if Ph still increases as fast, then add the extra suppliments one at a time and check to see if you can see if its one of the suppliments causing this.

Im just reading about these nutes now and they say they have something called Ph perfect. Which they say automatically adjust Ph to be correct. To be honest I'm not sure how much I trust this and could quite easily be the cause of the Ph increase. Any one with anymore info on this Ph perfect system might be able to help as it sounds a bit odd to not have to check your Ph in DWC. Lots of issues normally arise from the PH going over 6.0 in regular DWC grows.

That's what I'm experiencing with AN. When I mix my reservoir it PH balance to 6.5 then I have to lower it to 5.5. It always rise back to 6.5 in a day or so. Sometimes before a full 24 hours.

I use UC roots to control the root zone. Just finished a run with no chiller. Zero root problems! I used two caps per 5 gallon pail.

The uc roots is more expensive from what I understand. Plus I believe it's more a sterilizer no?

It's a sterilizer and a mineral descaler. Don't run it unless your system is completely sterile (no beneficial bacteria).

Also, don't waste your money on it as its overpriced and degrades over time. Make it yourself. Theres a post on another forum where we all run UC and RDWC, and we've all switched to making our own.

Cultured Solutions UC Roots
This is a 0.028% solution of hypchlorous acid. Most likely created via a solution of sodium hypochlorite. There’s been a fair amount of documentation in the hydroponics world about the uses and benefits of sodium hypochlorite. Look for them somewhere else.

To make your own 0.028% hypochlorous acid solution from a 12.5% sodium hypchlorite solution by weight (15% by volume), add 7mL per gallon.

12.5% sodium hypochlorite: 7mL/gal (1.86mL/L)

I bought a 5 gallon bucket of 12.5% Sodium Hypochlorite. WHen you add water it turns into Hypochlorous Acid... With the 5 gallon bucket I paid $25 for, I can make literally thousands of gallons on UC Roots and its the exact same. In fact its better since it hasn't sat on a shelf degrading.

not that you are wrong, but me personally have used HTH pool shock (calcium hypochlorite) to run sterile. I'd rather have a calcium based vs sodium based solution.

Just started using GFF about a month ago as a replacement for 35%H202. Works great. H202 inhibited root growth in my clone tote and I had to stop adding it as a result requiring more frequent res changes. When I added the GFF I was concerned the same thing would happen. I experienced no problems at all whatsoever. No funky stuff growing in the res, and nothing but happy roots. Cheap too. Southern AG has a good wetting agent also.

I'm almost out of maxi grow and any suppliers that have it are asking 30% more than it's usual price due to supply chain issues. Shit was already overpriced. Now @ $108 for 18# it's time to go with another product. I like the idea of flora nova being a 1 part. Think it would work well in dutch buckets? Also considered mega crop. I already add epsom salt and calcium nitrate to my maxi grow and bloom because I'm using RO water, so it wouldn't really change my mixing routine. I just hate change man. I'm getting old :)

flora nova bloom is great, probably like it slightly more than maxibloom. it's not cheap though for a gallon.

megacrap v1.0 was shitty for me with wild pH swings.

so far i'm liking the Jack's Tap but that's not for RO. there is a new one called Jack's RO 12-4-16 in their Cannabis line.
