Sorry to those who have waited or been waiting...
Pics have arrived... Decent quality this time, but I must admit I was in a bit of a rush, didnt turn the lights off and shoot them like that- will do next time for the big update- less than a week for that!
Pics are only of flowering plants, who likes looking at plants with no buds, just kidding- but my Veg room is still being tweaked and I am waiting till i fully finish it before i photo- 2 mothers currently in veg room under 2 four foot FL's. They are about as tall as my taller flowering plants- 2.5 ft to guess, and in good health- they need more light I am sure- but I cannot provide that now- I am getting nervous to take my clones soon...
These photos were taken two days ago... Been Busy! Which was at 3.5 weeks of flowering... Flowering started on the 29th of May to give an idea, Mothering room started on the 3rd, so moms have been lit up at 18 hrs a day for exactly 3 weeks, one more week then snip snip the clones.
I am very impressed by my plants... Tell me what you guys and girls think, they are way better than i expected... I am expecting to get a good yield just by the way they look now. Very very hairy, and bud sites galore.
Mylar makes my room look sooo much better in photos- from cheap ass mickey moused styrofoam walls, to bling.
Gave them their second dose of bloom terra- the recommended 2 teaspoons per 4 liters. Photos were taken a day after- and the effect has been more and more noticeable overtime with still no nute burn.
CFL side lighting has very clear effects- as the budsites down low are opening up just as well as the ones up high, however the light tends to burn the tips of some leaves that get in its way, is the risk worth the bennefit? Should I take one CFL out and only have one providing 6 plants with low side lighting???
Watering semi-frequently once every two days average. Some plants are visibly more thirsty than others, notably Andrea- who seems to be a thirsty girl...
Temps go from low 70's high 60's in the dark up to high 70's rarely a peak at low 80's. Humidity is at around 50-55% its been incredibly rainy lately tho- I am hoping it will naturally fall to 40's%. Shouldn't have to worry to much about humidity for next week or two... weeks 6-8 will be induced dryness for sure tho...
One plant (pictured 6th) is getting to be quite large, standing out above the rest. It is around 3.5-4ft tall. The closest to that in height is one thats about 2.75 -3 ft tall and the rest are around 2 ft... These discrepencies in height are noticable in pic number 5 and they worry me, as far as lighting goes, would it be advantages to set the smaller plants pots on books to lift them up to be even... This would make my side lighting difficult to impossible? Should I bend the big girls now with some weight and string...? Or more reasonably should I just hang the light at such an angle that it provides light more evenly, but still slightly out of focus because of such large difference... ?
As or right now i can see that the light focus is lacking the big girls cola who is nearing the height of where the lamp hangs and out of its cast... She is no where near touching the lamp- she is in a corner, heat seems to be ok.
Sorry for the stoned ramble, i am very excited though, and mind is racing bout some of these questions posed... Hope you folks can help me as you have so far, thank all of you! I am appreciative of all posts.
Now heres the much built up pictures.
1= Beginning to frost: Plants were frosting then my dumbass misted and it didnt frost- but after a couple days- and the promise of no more misting they frosted back over.
2= Having fun with the frost, i got excited.
3= Overhead of who I think is Helga, didnt label and note pictures while taking them, also made self note to always do that from now on! I am learning lol...
4= Overhead of what I believe to be Holly.
5= Shot of Room, notice its much improved appearance I love mylar from here on out as well...
6= Shot of Plant that wishes she could be outdoors- she would be a giant girl... And is currently the one that sticks out the most. Look at her side branching, thats that cfl for ya...
7= Hopefully a soon to be fat filled out cola
8= Another plant with a hopefully soon to be fat filled out cola, i wish i knew their names so that the next update could be more comparable...
I will consider this the inqusitive linguistic and certainly lengthy update, in a week or less- I will do a scientific update- with all plants named and pictured with rulers... This is more for myself and data I suppose than it is for your enjoyment, but I am expecting to see some fine pics in a week from these beautiful little ladies.
