My garden is kinda hidden but my next door neighbours are old and a little dopey so nope not realy lolThanks for stopping by my thread. I've read through yours, good on ya for the greenhouse! Do you have any worries about backyard snoopers?
Its made out of slot in poles like a tent with shelves and a pvc coveringNice little greenhouse. I'd love to have something like that to fool around with. What's it made of?
You should probably stop advertising your grow in other people's journals. People don't really appreciate that.
thats what i mean the ling is in shock,, itl either die or live,, im on about the small plant wiyh 4 leafs, its yellow, wich more than likely means your plant has locked up or u got some bad roots that dont work any more, therefore its stopped taking nutriants in, u can give a plant to much water and the plant will either struggle or totaly stop root absorbing water to cope, also direct sunlight will cause u problems with seedlings,
or it could just be stunted , but 100ml for a ling every 2days isnt necesary, its roots wont drink that ,
keepin soil that wet means your roots dont need to travel and search for water and if they dont do that how do u expect the roots to get bigger and longer if they dont have to,,
basicly ur roots arnt gettin any time to expand and take in a decent ammount of co2,,
i take 1 of mine out ov a pot and the whole thing is basicly a root wich drinks like fuck where as u mite get a few roots around and about the pot,,,
any way its only advice, im not saying listen to me, but im sure it wud help,,
peace out,,,,,,,,,, good look with the grow,, ill stop by n see how it progresses if ur keepin the thread updated,,
In some situations gravel, hydroton, rocks etc, on the top soil can be beneficial.HOWEVER some people do keep a light layer ov gravel or hydrotons on top ov the soil to allow roots to grow in the top inch ov soil,, it tends to make the plant stand sturdyer, and helps it later on when bud weight could be too much for the plant to banance, gravel & hydrotons keep the top layer miost for longer making it suitable for the roots to venture in to,, with out hydrotons or gravel the top drys fast as the plant gets bigger meaning roots dont go there any more, and dont want to go there,, meaning most the roots will sit in the bottom 75/80% of the medium,,
roots in the top soil does really help,,
even more if u have a thin stemmed plant,,
so yes it effects how fast the soil drys out
but as long as u do let it dry it dont matter at all
i let mine dry over the space ov about 6 days now
my plants in the pic are younger than yours,,lol,,,
peace
thanks for the advice but your plants are much taller than mine because you use a light im using filtered sunlight in a green house lol but i did put the stones in to help support the plant because it didnt stand on its ownHOWEVER some people do keep a light layer ov gravel or hydrotons on top ov the soil to allow roots to grow in the top inch ov soil,, it tends to make the plant stand sturdyer, and helps it later on when bud weight could be too much for the plant to banance, gravel & hydrotons keep the top layer miost for longer making it suitable for the roots to venture in to,, with out hydrotons or gravel the top drys fast as the plant gets bigger meaning roots dont go there any more, and dont want to go there,, meaning most the roots will sit in the bottom 75/80% of the medium,,

again cheers for the advice ill put the stones to one side for now and see how they go whats the worst that could happenIn some situations gravel, hydroton, rocks etc, on the top soil can be beneficial.
On this particular grow however, which is what we're talking about, they are not helping one bit.
All they're doing is adding to the over watering problem.
Lose the stones KD.
Feel free to put them back when you get your water schedule dialled in.
For now though they are doing more harm than good.
one of them looks shit but the others look good mate, for the slugs they have been in before the plant that is dieing is the one that has had some leaves nibbled onare they lookin any better yet??
can slugs get into your green house??
i may well start doing that but one of my plants is thickening up nicely at the minutei would open the door on the greenhouse a few hours a day , get the wind to strengthen the plants a lil
Peace!
