My dogs not feeling good.

A blood test at the vet is in order.

Although you say it has been raining and the dog is fat, sounds like exercise is in order to.

Train the dog. Gives the dog purpose.
I bring him on hikes but he hates the outside. Outside bad. Sun bad. Hell not pee for two days or more if its raining. He goes out and turns right back around lmao. Screw that. Snow freaks him out too.

You got to be the alpha and the dog will follow you to the pits of hell.

People got to remember that dogs are not human. They are a pack animal that needs to lead or be led.

i could go on and on about how dogs are not human and therefore they do not see humans as pack leaders nor alphas regardless of what ceaser milan thinks
but im not getting into that argument

what i will say is this
is his dog, and if he wants to let his dog not go for hikes than so be it
he owns the dog, and he is the puppy parent

I'm not going by what Cesare "the dog beater" milan claims.

I'm basing this on a lifetime of training hunting and working dogs. A working dog needs structure. Don't over feed.

I feed my dogs twice a day based on weight.

He probably has an upset stomach...
I found a really good vet and he told me that dogs are so over weight nowadays. We are killing them with love with all the treats we feed them. Dogs only eat every 4-5 days in the wild, they can go that long without food. And when a dog or even a person eats the same thing daily and then gets something else all of a sudden, they can get sick. You said hes over weight so most likely thats straining his body in every way, in a very bad way. Give him 2 cups of food a day or less and get his weight down...even get the weight down as far as a little skinney then bring him back up. When you put his food down he eats what he wants then walks away, this means hes had his fill...put the rest of the food he didnt eat back in the bag for the day. repeat daily. A dog going without food for a few days is normal and owners shouldnt be alarmed when they do this.

i would say ... eh
im not fully agreeing with all this info
different dog breeds act differently.
some dogs can free feed just fine others will eat the entire bag if you leave it out
regardless of training its just the breed type.

labs are absolutely known for their "bottomless pit stomachs" they will eat anything they can get their paws on and they dont know when they are full nor will they stop when they are
why they have such problems and owners really need to watch, they constantly act like they are hungry

I used to just fill his bowl up with food. It was my first dog and i figured id just fill the bowl. After about a year he started getting chubby and my mom told me he needs a diet. So now i feed him only about a cup and a bit twice a day. He doesnt run around though when i put him outside so he doesnt loose weight. He just pees and runs back to the door and whimpers and howls like his skin is going to catch fire if he cant get inside. Hes a sally.

i do agree however treats are unnecessary and overly used
i only give my dog vegetables as "treats" as rarely at that
I give him carrots and celery too. And cherry tomatos and zucchini. He likes vegtables. If i drop an egg on the floor hell eat the whole thing, even the shell! But thats not why hes sick. He hasnt had an egg in a couple weeks.

This will be my 1st winter with the pit bull pup so i was trying to find some ways to keep her active indoors...some ideas for exercise: tug of war, hide n seek with a training treat, chase the cat idk lol:eyesmoke:
