Just changed nutes in both tents

What a difference one month makes. Clones are kickin it. Double the size from a month ago, leafs are big, pistils multiplying



LED Tent WH seedlings + one clone from HOT5 clone. It's the plant hanging out with my Rosemary clone in the upper left. It was in the middle of the bifurcation, so instead of just killing it, it's now in the LED tent, to which I will be adding CO2 today.

Before and after root trimming. They were growing together, now they are separated and will create much more surface area for more roots. Note lateral root development due to highly oxygenated air space, created by massive amount of bubbles.

Wattage is not the 'be all, end all' answer

It's not about watts, but lumens per watt

100w led @ 80 lumens per watt= 8000 lumens
80w led @ 100 lumens per watt= 8000 lumens

The newest leds are hitting 150 lumens per watt

Upon re-reading my post this evening I would like to appologise to you for the way that I butted in to this thread.. I hope I didn't cause to much of an offense and I will really must try to be more tactful in the future.
Re the "Bright lightz" I am considering 6 x B22 (70w) in a 40 x 40 x 120 tent.
Also I would love to copy your "spray & drain" but at the moment my present accommodation situation prevents this.

My system will work for just one plant but is fully expandable with larger pumps, more spray heads and larger totes.

Damn, the clones have filled out so much that I moved them to a much bigger tote. Now I can spread them out for deeper light penetration.

Had to cut longer pvc lengths in order to reach the farthest end.

Will also drop the 1 liter APs into 4 liter APs and bottom * side fill with lava rock

Because watts are not created equal, grams per watt is a bad unit of measurement. We need to speak an accurate common language when we discuss harvest quantities vs light. A minimum of 40 umols would be in the zone' for indoors

DLI was developed for green houses, however, the bud sights below a typical mmj canopy get far less light, primarily due to overcrowding

Also, I just added 2 more bulbs to my HOT5 tent- one UVL Red Life, and one more ZooMed Florasun = ~ 324w

Idk about those led fixtures....big lumen discrepancy; varies by eight hundred lumens and wtf does less than 5 percent light loss at three thousand hours mean? that's huge! heat management issues with the junction temps of the leds?

because of the ozone generated or what? really its not the cfl thats bad its the cheap ballasts we use to drive them, but keep in mind CHEAP. which in most cases is good.

they make cfl fitures that have pin plug ins that connect them to proper ballasts that dont emit ozone. but its more expensive and those ballast have better capabilities able to conduce current over a longer distance thus why they are used in linear fluorescent.

That Feit bulb from lowes uses Lumileds which are good BUT it's light output is omidirectional and 70 lmw is bad PET........still it's pretty good deal on a remote phosphor led for general household purpose and should give a nice clean light!
