That bud shot really makes me happy, I can't wait till I get my ladies lookin like that. What is a good ratio for compost material that you found you like? My father and I plan on starting a compost pile to grow some veggies and my pot this year. Or next year, depending on how fast it composts.
I am still pretty baked from my Blue Cheese joint from last night, so it's off to find food and a bottle of water.

With my compost I'm finding a 80% perlite to 20% compost mix working very well.That bud shot really makes me happy, I can't wait till I get my ladies lookin like that. Thank you! The buds are turning out a lot fatter than my last grow and it even seems like there's more trichs.
I've been running the UVB for the whole 12 hours that my HPS is on now so I think that might be helping also.

420, I have read this from the beginning and I remember reading your compost to perlite ratio. I was actually wondering about your compost. Like, do you buy it or compost it yourself?
And I would like to say that this medium would be perfect for me, I always have drainage problems and in a mostly perlite medium I should have no problems so thank you very much. It seems like I learn so many new ideas from every journal I read through and yours is no exception. Keep it going, I am subbing right now.

I make my own compost blend from composting animals I need to dispose of from my rendering business and farm manure from either my farm or from a local dairy farm.

Hmm, 420, this is a really random question but I am trying to find a strain that has a really fruity taste and smell with a fairly upper type of high. This will be for breeding purposes after I grow it a few times from start to finish.
My goal is to get a really stable strain that is totally purple, and has a really upper high. I love fruity smells also, so basically my dream strain. Any ideas on a mother and father that would give me the desired effects?

I'm somewhat new to growing myself so I don't have much experience in the different strains but you could look into Purple Haze or Grape God.
There's lots of strains out there that'll match what you're looking for, I'm sure you'll find something you like.

Indeed, gonna be a long journey. But a very pleasant and hopefully non jail inducing one. It is not legal where I live, but I plan to find a place where I can grow a few plants and not worry about going to jail.
I also have to worry about my family, which is my biggest priority. If I get busted for growing a plant or two, it would ruin my families life. Not an option.

The main thing to remember is, trust no one. Telling people about your grow is the quickest way to be found out.

look into shishkaberry or aka kish. it is very berry smell and taste, yields great, flowers fast and even gets cool colors, it sounded like a good match for you
