My Compost Grow

The girls are looking pretty good at week 5. The WW is still doing really well with the LSTing although they're showing what I believe to be nutrient burn on the edge of the larger fan leaves. I'm figuring the compost might be a little hot for them yet as they were showing the same problem last grow. The WC really seem to thrive in it so I'm hoping it's because of the Indica dominance in the genetics.

The Cali Hash sprouted earlier today so here's a pick of that also.:leaf:

I've decided this will be the last week of veg. for these girls. I'll be switching to 12/12 tomorrow. This way I'll know for sure what difference it made topping and LSTing the plants by having the same veg time as last.

I've already turned off the lights and they will be turned back on after 24hrs of dark.

Here's a pic of the Cali Hash plant, it's 1 1/2 weeks old today. I'm keeping it on a 15 hr light schedule so as to match the sun for when it gets transplanted outside.:leaf:

they are looking really great.
whats with the 24 hours of light off? to help induce flowering?
do you they have pre flowers at all?

and i like the cali hash plant and how your matching it with the times outdoors

Thanks! I'm pretty happy with how things are going with this grow. Spending the little extra time preparing the soil really seems to have made a big difference.

Thank you! I know the WC have preflowers but I'm not sure about the WW. And yes, the 24hrs dark is to help induce flowering, kind of a jump start.

End of week 1 of 12/12 for these girls and growth is looking really good.:weed:

The Cali Hash is also doing really well which is nice being that I went so lean on the mixture of compost and perlite with it.

To anyone paying attention to more than just this grow; I've been playing with the different consistencies of the perlte to compost ratio along with the amount of lime I should add to receive the most vigorous growth from my plants. You can really tell when looking at the plants that have been transplanted in my garden thread.

they are looking great man very healthy looking.

as for the lime though, i thought that was just to buffer ph to 7 if it is below that. does it add nutes to the soil as well?

No but to high of a ratio and it can cause the ph to be too far off. These subtle little changes to the soil seem to make a big difference on how the plant grows.

Update for week 2 of 12/12. Girls are looking good and all showing pistils.

The Cali Hash is really starting to take off now also.

Oh right, may bad. That does ring a bell about matching the light outdoors.

Smoking kush at nine in the morning can make you a little slow :eyesmoke::eyesmoke:

Still looking real good at week 3 of 12/12.

The Cali Hash is also doing great and really taking off now.:leaf:

looking really good man, and the hash plant has really grown since the last time i seen her. nice work

Week 4 of 12/12 and everything's looking great, I'm really happy with the way things are turning out this grow.

The Cali hash should be ready to go out in about another week or so, I'm still having some weird weather for this time of year and don't want to put her out when it's too cold or wet.
