My cat, Petey

Hey guys, Im going to keep this short. My girlfriend and I have a few cats that we absolutely cherish and spoil. We woke up this morning to our cat, peter ( I call him Petey P) showing symptoms of idiopathic vestibular disease (dizzyness, third eyelid showing..) and brought him to the vet, where im at smoking a cigg waiting for bloodwork.. Im not very religious but wanted you to take a moment and say a mental prayer for him.

It can be very costly going to the vet, I suggest anyone who has a pet either have insurance on them or stash money away just incase. Im not trying to give a sob story, just upset. Petey is on the left with his brother blake. (we take them on walks daily and it gets cold out, thus the lumberjack sweater.)

I feel for you brother. Pets are a wall against all the shit in the world that has to be dealt with everyday. They just reconnect me to the good in the world at least. I spent $1700 once to fix my cat who had been hit by a car, and pretty much everyone called me nut's (I just added a cat fix surcharge on my product). Well, I didn't regret spending the money, the cat is still alive, and I consider it one of the best things I have ever spent money on. My Putty Putty is still knocking my herb over, and I wouldn't change a thing.
Good luck my friend, and "waste" some money, it will be worth it for peace of mind, and the cat will appreciate it.

yeah, i too have had an issue with paying for my pets. There was a local vet who helped lower income folks get spays/vaccinations and flea and tick control at doctors costs. by that i mean fractions of what it would be normally. I adore my cats/there my kids. I'd do ANYTHING for them, i was thinking of starting a go-fund-me type page for folks who need help getting the pets the help they need, imvho money should never be an obstacle when it comes to health.

Here we have chico the 12 year old cat and his bitch lucky the pointer/pitbull mix! Lovin these kids!

Thats really nice of you to spend that much money, I used to have a "care credit card" but maxed it out at about 5g between my gf and our pets. May I ask what the damage was to your cat from the car accident. Have a picture?

Good luck with the results. Just try and wait and see first what the vet says. My cat has FIV and would be dead without me. Turns out he's the best cat I've ever had and worth every cent.
Such a pretty kitty! Yea, FIV is pretty serious they have a room full of FIV cats at my local shelter. My gf and I are going to start volunteering there on the weekends, I love helping those guys.

I'm in Spain and if the cat rescue had got him he would've been put down coz they can't rehome them. I took him off the street.

Instead I found a half english vet who studied in the UK. She gives him steroid and anti biotic shots every 2 mths. He actually likes the vet so I think he understands.

What happened with Petey!?
Thanks for asking, Petey P is doing great. I dont understand what happened, we took him to the vet literally 30min after we noticed any symptoms (staring at a wall, cant stand straight to eat, would no stop purring, he honestly looked like had a stroke..)

His bloodwork/urine exam came back clean, so Ill update this as we go along. I appreciate you guys tagging along. I got my cats when I quit Heroin and they've been with me ever since.
