So it's not idiopathic vestibular disease?
They couldnt confirm either way, gave him fluids/vitamins, did the tests and said he can go home and to bring a stool sample next time we bring in a cat for a checkup. Do you have any knowledge on this disease?

Lol Abe, I think we got ours at a garage sale. We used to live in a smaller city and walk them downtown and people absolutely adored them on their leashes. Where I live now (tourist lake town,) people act like were weird or something.

Thank you @Etta Place I appreciate that very much.

I know that would be 'normal' anywhere in California, where you would actually gain style points. I've considered just this for awhile now and got excited to see that you walk/stroll your cats. My indoor cats are definitely happier when they get their outdoor enrichment time. I may have to say fk-it and fly my freak flag, but here in the midwest people will consider it odd. Just another thing for my neighbors to add to my file. I'll let you know after I pick out my stroller haha.

Yup I live in the Midwest, I know exactly what youre talking about. My gf has had the cops called on her for feeding stray cats, I truly think that is rediculous.

If Petey doesnt get atleast 1 walk a day, he gets really upset and will sit in the stroller and cry lol. Now that its cold, we put them in legit cat winter coats that have built-in thermometers. We have shoes, football jerseys, tiny hats etc.. Take your cat(s) for a walk in the stroller/leash and those people can eat kitty litter!

Im weird for walking my cat when they walk their dogs and let them shit in peoples yards without picking it up...yeah

Just wanted to put up a short update. So far Pete has been doing very well, we didnt get any take home meds but it seems like the vitamins/ fluids they gave him either helped or he just had an "episode" that morning.

Either way Pistol Pete is doing great now. Im working more to save up some cash and get insurance on my cats. Most might think its overkill, but the minute I feel something isnt right we go to the vet. Its not very often, but the peace of mind is worth it. Might save some money as well, its not alot of money but the last visit was like 250$. Well worth it though.

Heres a pic of Pete after he got home from a walk today. What a badass he tries to be!

The lab I grew up with will always be in my heart. He was just the best memory I have of my childhood. Pets are more than just animals. They're the family we choose.

Good luck and I hope your cat gets better.

I didnt want to start another thread, but just wanted to say watch oout whats under your car before you drive off. My gf and I found a tiny kitten on our backporch around 4am this morning and fed it but couldnt catch it.

I was leaving to pick up my buildasoil items from my dads and not getting into it but ran a kitten over. I dont want to upset people just bring awareness. Im not a pansy but still tearing up over it. Wont get over this for awhile, hard to accept what ive done. I just try to help animals (thus were out trying to catch it at 4am.)

Really hard to deal with myself right now, Im not very religious but hard to see gods will in this situation.
