I have the same system and I am at week 5... let me know if you need any help. I went through alot of trial and error. Changing the res can be intense!

Your light should be 2-3 feet away....I also notice the temp was between 84-87 degrees....seems to be a bit too hot. Temps can be allowed to fluctuate between 70-78 degrees and keep your humidity between 40-50 percent.

Check your over fertilizing and over-watering...will stunt growth.

Good luck.

i just got my bubbleponics and was reading the directions...it says once you have roots growing thru the net pots to switch the water pump/drip to 3min every hour...how did you set up your timer to do this??? i could only get my timer to come on 14 times in a 24hr period? can you post a pic of your timer and how its set?

thanks for your help!

Hey Kitty, thx for the advice. i agree about it being too hot. i actually bought a humidifier to raise the humidity and also found a very nice side effect in that it cools the temp by like 5-10 degrees. its awesome. so the temps are staying much more consistent around 74-81 degrees. also i switched from 24/0 lightign to 18/6 and i could sware they looked like they grew more overnight with the light off than they had in 2 days...

hey gweese, i ordered the "basic" bubbleponics system that didnt come with a timer, but my light came with a timer so i just use that. i actualy just had everythig going 24/7, the lights and the pumps, until a coupla days ago i switched to 18/6 lighting to see if it helps me poor baby girls. i probly will set my water pump to a timed interval once the roots reach the water in the tub.. or heck maybe even turn off the water pump period. i mean, once the roots are hanging in the water they dont need the water pump anywya...

sh told me that they had a sister company create their pdf instructions and i guess they are a lil out of date. he told me to keep the drips going 24/7 throughout the complete grow...but i might do what you suggested and just not use them when my roots get to the water.

thks dude

hey gweese, thx for keepin me in the loop. i have a piece of advice 4 u bout the bubbleponics. i came home today to find white moldy lookin stuff in my setup - i thought it was mold, but i posted on here and the consensus seems to be that its undissolved nutes. after further explanation, i discovered that it is CRUCIAL that all the nutes be TOTALLY DISSOLVED before you pour it in the reservoir. i got kinda lazy (ya i was blazed) and i didnt totally dissolve the nutes b4 i poured them in. so, use really WARM water, and stir til u dont see any nutes in the water.

no...from what i read almost everywhere on the net...i was supposed to germinate the seed...get it to crack and show the tap root, then place it in my medium, and keep it dark and moist, until i see a sprout growing up vertical, then give it light.

does this sound okay?

yo GwEESe, ive heard people doin it both ways. but most advice i was given said to sprout the seed first, in a dark moist place and then place it in the rockwool. but i think u know whats goin on. i mean ur post was right on the money.

also, just curious, have u read the cannabis grow bible by greg green? it helped me a LOT in terms of knowing whats going on...

whats up doobiesnack,
thks for the words...i have another post going about this situation and guys are telling me to take the seed out of the rockwool and put it back in saturated paper towel & then put paper towel in a ziplock bag...put it back in a warm dark spot until sprout...i think i am going to try that.

my cabinet is in my garage, which is not heated...and one wall is un-insulated, therefore its cold as hell in there....around 40 deg. my cab is made out of plywood & i have insulated the inside with reflective radiant barrier...i was keeping a good temp in there but now its around 57 deg inside the cab...but my res temp stays fine cuz i am using a aquarium heater. i have a ceramic heater on order and it should be here Monday. this will help me maintain the temp in the cab, until the light can be turned on.

here are some pics

ahh -- yes, i would definitely do as everyone is suggesting. it certainly does make a difference if your environment has temperature variations going that low... prolly not good enviro for germing a seed. but once u've got it germed and uve got that heater that spot should work out well!

doobiesnack-

hows everything going with your grow? unfortunately, i am still not getting any seeds to sprout! I added more to the bunch two days ago and then another yesterday. 3 are in a soaked wash cloth...(they were in soaked paper towel, but it dried out everyday so im trying the wash cloth) one seed is in a shot glass 1/2 full of water...waiting until it sinks and hopefully gets a nice taproot. they are all sitting on top my monitor.

i might end up with a bad batch of seeds all together...got them from the doctor...Dr. Chronic that is. bought 5 feminized. they are small seeds but seem to look fine.

i was wondering what pH/EC/TDS meters you use? i havent got anything yet, but just got paid, so....

ive been using pH strips SH sent, but they dont seem to be working very good.

would love to here an update from you...maybe some pics?

later
