Multiple tops on bud

First grow, so apologies if this is a silly question. I have a autoflower, which I thought was getting ready to harvest, but it's growing multiple points on the main cola with new pistils. Is it weird that there are multiple points growing off the top?

Nope, just a thing, not pollinated (unless you've been letting the boys play in the girls room or it developed male organs on another part if itself). Hope it's killer smoke for ya man.

A couple more questions... Should I wait to harvest until the foxtails are fully grown and matured? If yes, should I start the feeding schedule again? It was flushed a few days ago and has been getting just water because it was close to harvest.

Check the main cola if it's ready check the rest of the plant and harvest the plant. As for flushing I would refrain from flucshing in the future unless it's absolutely needed. Happy harvesting

This plant doesn't look like it's somewhere near harvesting time - all pistills are still white and the buds will get thicker every day. You have alot of nute-burned tips and you should be conservative on fertilizer.
After a flush give the plant enough time to work all the excess water out of the soil so that the internal earth gets in touch with oxygen again.

Just keep watering it and watch the plant finish.. the more bud the better .! It's (fox-tailing).usually stress due to grow area being too hot etc but yours looks neat. How long from seed..what strain.? Edit; are you growing that auto with photo period strains ? Best growing auto's in 24 hours light..
Happy growing

Flushing is for sick plants not finishing plants.

Thanks everyone for the advice. It's a Blueberry 420 auto that's about 70 days from seed. It was normal shaped with browning pistils then started bulking out on top with the new foxtail growth and new pistils. I thought it was 2 weeks from harvest but I was off on that I guess! Live and learn.
Isn't it recommend to flush 1-2 weeks before harvest?

Yes, but only by people that have not bothered to learn plant science and how plants grow and absorb nutrients.

I had read mixed feelings on it, I use Vegamatrix and they say you don't necessarily need to flush. I only flushed 2 out of my 6 and I have to say that they're actually doing better than the others. I think I was messing with the pH too much so the flush was good for it. I was trying to PH RO water but have since stopped messing with the pH and switched to my well water.
Now that the snow is gone I've got some compost going, been doing a lot of reading and am aiming for a more organic grow the next time around.

Yeah, I've heard RO water can be difficult to PH.

I have ran vegamatrix for a bunch of runs. It does well and flushing with it is definitely not needed or recommended. Plus how do your plants have nute burn running that stuff it's near impossible to burn with that stuff! I really like their big and sticky that with mammoth p is a nice combo if you don't run their whole line up. Also stick with your well water if it's like mine you don't need a calcium additive so that's a plus!

I gave them full strength once or twice which was too much for them I think. I didn't pick up big n sticky, just been using what's in the starter pack. I was thinking of switching to earth juice.
I just realized what the issue might be though. I started with pro-mix cc, but I was gifted a few plants, including this one, that I think might have fox farm. Would that cause it to burn? Do you pH your well water?

Flushing a plant a few weeks before harvesting is done to mitigate the salt buildup inside your plant. Experienced smokers can taste that if you're using mineralic fertilizers. Especially too much nitrogen (dark green leaves) will make the smoke harsh and chlorophyllic-tasty.
You don't necessarily have to do a real flush (=pouring 3 times the vessels capacity in water through the pot and throwing all excess water away).
You could as well just feed it plain water. After some time all the leaves should be back at a normal green colour, bottom fanleaves will wilt and finally all fanleaves or greater leaves will start yellowing, stems will become weak and many colas will just fall over, the whole plant looking somewhat lifeless.

BTW as you see from the pic if a plant drains its own salts the leaves will start yellowing homogenously.
This is totally different from the yellow spots that did appear mostly around the veins of your dark coloured fan leaves of the one automatic.

I have such a hard time trying to figure out deficiencies. Any suggestions on what this is lacking? Calcium, boron maybe?

So let me riddle you this do your buds lose their green color or just your leaves? Chlorophyl is broken down when you dry and cure anyhow. Plus salts are built up in your soil not your plant and if your building up that much salt that you need to flush you may want to back off of the nutrients a bit. Plus I've done side by sides of several different strains both flushed and not and the guys and gals I had try couldn't tell the difference. The key is having someone that knows how to dry and cure properly that's the key. Plus like a lot of us have debated if flushing was really needed wouldn't you think they would?
