if you can vent outside get the enclosed hood leave the intake side sucking from the grow area and vent the exhaust outside.
wouldnt it not work as well if the fan wasnt sucking straight from the room and pushing the air across the bulb towards outside?
to me it just seems that if the fan is at the end of the ducting , it wouldnt suck as well as it would push.
so ur saying u have the filter in ur grow room , ducting, then the light , then ducting, and at the end of all that the fan thats sucking air through all that? and it works well? how many cfm is the fan , and the size of ur grow space??
hmm weird , for some reason , in my mind, i didnt think that the fan would be able to suck well through that long line of stuff. Do you think that squirrel cage one I gave u the link to a couple posts earlier would work well instead of having the vented reflector?yeah... that's it exactly. its a 6" fan around 250 cfm. The room is maybe 10' x 12'.
aight, i think im gonna go with the blower. it would be cheaper for me to do it that way. That way i can control the heat and not have to spen 200 bux on the reflector, plus another 200-400 on fans. Think id be ok with the intake fan just pulling air in from the room outside the tent? cuz its winter here and pulling cold ass air in prolly would be too good lol
hey , think I can have the blower in flowering room , and the blower in veg room , both eventually tying in to 1 ducting line heading to outside? kinda like a "Y"
yea I havent really thought about odor control lol... I dont even know how I would set that up with a blower like that... think its possible to push the air through a filter instead of pulling it with a 265 cfm blower?
shit , disregard that last post , i didnt realize the filter alone costs over 200 dollars..fuk that.
that looks almost exactly like my setup. you don't need to replace the filter, only the charcoal inside the filter. that cost is pretty cheap. if you're growing in a place with unfriendly laws... then odor control is very important

thats the filter that goes inside that one, is that like what u have? the charcoal in that is able to be switched out?
Also , how often do u need to change the charcoal in it if its being used 12 to 13 hours a day?
