Most likely outdoors pests?

bud worms eat leaves
bud worms do a lot worse than that.

they lay their eggs in the developing bud. the eggs hatch, and the little worms eat their way out of the bud from the inside out.

you don't even know they're there until the bud is gone.

and it can all be prevented with a $10 bottle of BT spray.

Cucumber bugs are my problem this year, eating holes in the leaves. I use BT's. Safer caterpillar killer and Monterey spinosad. Each are BT's just different ones. I start with the safer and then transition it out to only spinosad. Some says the safer effects product a little if used late in flower. If you're preventative and on top of it, you can handle the worms pretty well. I use organicide for pm and other insect pest. Mould is the problem that is impossible to stop if it starts.

i love when people ask stuff i don't really know about...
one of the best ways for me to learn....
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bacillus_thuringiensis

"B. thuringiensis serves as an important reservoir of Cry toxins for production of biological insecticides and insect-resistant genetically modified crops. When insects ingest toxin crystals, the alkaline pH of their digestive tract denatures the insoluble crystals, making them soluble and thus amenable to being cut with proteases found in the insect gut, which liberate the cry toxin from the crystal.[SUP][6][/SUP] The Cry toxin is then inserted into the insect gut cell membrane, forming a pore. The pore results in cell lysis and eventual death of the insect."
ah I found my original question. .. now where to buy this shit ? and do I really need it ?

any place with a garden section will do. just look at the active ingredients and make sure BT is in there. if you have had budworms, you need it and now is the time to spray if you haven't already since buds are now forming.

Pest problems are like stars in the sky depends upon which one you are looking at.
You should get better than 1oz. At week 2 of flower they still have a lot of growing to do.

That's why I am leery to try the Alaska bloom stuff, because they out and out warn that it attracts animals.
I won't use fish emulsion or anything with veg or animal smell to it.
That's why I grow in my back yard. The only 4 legged critter I gotta worry about is the one in my avatar picture.
Haha damn right! My two Rottweilers have killed a total of 3 skunks and 1 cat trying to get to my grow. Like literally ripped them apart like tug toys. Haha they're so proud after its hilarious, but the smell is terrible and stinks up my yard for days. They get heavily rewarded for protecting my veggies and my girls though ;)
