Mosquito bits

If you guys ever have insect problems like fungus gnats in your soil I highly recommend mosquito bits. Works great and also doesn’t harm your plants. You can either sit them in water and make a tea, or you can put the pellets in the soil and water them in. They definitely work tho. Used for 3 grows. Anyone else use them?

I just got some today and some mosquito dunks. I'm going to top dress with the bits and keep a dunk in the tent for preventive measures.

I never used the dunks only the bits. They shoukd work if you put them in the soil also and let them water in.
Did you have trouble with mold after top dressing with the bits? I saw a couple of people say they grew mold on top of their soil after applying the bits. I don't think the mold was harmful. Probably came from the corn.

Yeah thats if youre just leaving it on top. When top dressing you should actually mix it into like the top inch of soil.

Ive had the dunks in water for about a day now but it does not seem to dissolve much. Idk Ill leave it for another day then try it out. Hope it works. I have an issue with gnats. Ive tried a bunch of stuff like sticky pad, vinegar, apple cider. What they really seem to like is Pepsi lol I had 3 bowls out with a bit of each in them. The Pepsi had much more dead gnats than the others.

if the dunks can be broken up and mixed in soil I would do that honestly. Better control Of the source. Outside the soil and the gnats will still be laying eggs in your soil. Well unless youre doing hydro

Oh yea I didnt mean dunks are in bowls too my bad. Dunks are in a gallon of water that I will use for watering later. I just thought it would dissolve in the water better before I did my watering.

What way is better? Letting them sit in a gallon of water or mixing it in the top of the soil? I let a cup sit in a gallon of water for 8 hours and watered the plants.
