I recommend the 42 watt cfls as they are the most cost effective. 26 watters are me personal favorite as you get more mobility and penetration. It's more work to position them but it's worth it imo.

I concour. Yea do yourself a favor if your wanting to do micro gros often, and get 42 watters; OR i've seent some 45 watters. They are kinda very universal with fitting places And throw good lumens.

And yes ONCE AGAIN 2700 (Kelvin) for flower AKA (soft white) and 6500(k) for Veg. AKA "Daylight"

EVERYONE STAY AWAY FROM "cool white" "or bright white" they are 4100 kelvin=usless as moonlight

Possibly, how many plants share that light? If it's all for one, then yea you could prolly do it. MAYBE 2. But it'd be tough. To do it, you'll have to keep the close like 1-2 inches tops. And like move them prolly every 6-8 hours while the lights are on to keep from growing into the bulb, but if your vigilent, you could make one pampered plant with those lights.

i DON'T EVEN FOLLOW MY OWN DUMB ADVICE.

I been jackin the plants with 20-30-20 shultz. First feeding went half strength. After GREAT response, next feeding i went full strength........INSTEAD i should have given plain water.....I know better.

ONE plant took it, and is really dark dark Green.

The other is getting brown spots in between the leaf veigns of the fan leaves near the middle/top.

LET THIS BE A LESSON! SUBSCRIBERS, READ AND LEARN.

That all said, they have almost doubled in size in just a mere few days.

You'll get a feel, i spent so much time in the closet my first grow, that i understand the language of MJ. She'll talk to you and let ya know if you pay attention, and with one plant.....that's pretty much your only option. You'll feel it out.

If you can get moving air between the bulbs and the plant, you can possibly even go closer. Days when i spent time at home, I'd put them as close as 1/4 inch and check them every hour or 2.

Hey everyone. I had to tie down the pure Lemon, she's outta control. The other pic is of my Cross strain. Look at this leaf. Nasty, i'm so ashamed. HOWEVER, it looks like OZONE generator problems from a list i was looking at, also looks like Mg Def. but it can't be that because, this happened within 2 days of full strength nutrient....that contained Mag.

Hey all. Just ordered some Low Rider 2 fem seeds from attitude. Hoping they'll arrive within the next couple weeks.

I've been trolling around here and this thread has been a real help. I've started planning a one plant stealth grow.

Due to the short lifespan of Low Rider do you think one kind of bulb will be sufficient or should I switch bulbs out? Also, if I'm using ~40 watt bulbs, how many do you think I'll need for such a small plant? They typically don't get much more than a foot tall.

Once I germ I'm going to start a grow journal on RIU to track progress and seek advice.

Glad you found this meandering thread helpful!

For a single plant I would recommend two of those approximately 40 watts bulbs. Ideally You would want two 65k 40w bulbs and a 26w 27k bulbs for vegging and the reverse for flowering. More light = happier plant = more and better buds

What size space will you be growing in? Will you be afforded (or can you create) the luxury of mobile lighting? Having bulbs below the level of the main canopy can help immensly. I saw a wonderful single plant micro grow that utilized almost 180 watts with four 40w 27k bulbs to light the underside of the plant. I will try and dig it up for you when I get home from work.

Even thought LowRider is short life cycle they still need veg and flower spectrum. I think your best bet is one of each type depending on the size of your Cabinet, a 2700k and 6500k. The whole grow. prolly the 42w ones will be plenty.
