OK, a lot has happened.

1. Rescue Mission Nugs have been cut down, manicured and are curing.

2. Pistle Porn pictures below of my lemon skunk, and my Hollands hope/LemonSkunk Cross.

Lemon Skunk is super bushy. and the Cross is kinda sparce but is also about 7 days younger.

GAVE AWAY the third plant as a house warming gift to my buddy.
lookin good Sly! That girl is bushy as hell!!

Welcome ALL. We need a sub forum for this, and as i understand it's already being worked on, so for the time being we can start here.

Who's Got micro grows going? Lets see your pics, progress, and preferences!!!

I have converted this old night stand into a micro grow. It works awesome. Temps are perfect all the time.
how did you setup those cfls... what did you use to power them and how

Simple ceramic sockets from home depot. Then have one screw hole, so i screwed them into the sides. 2 on each side. I have 4 42 watt cfl's 2 6500K and 2 2700K putting out 2600-2800 lumens a piece. I wired all the sockets in parallel to a 2 prong plug i cut off the back of an old TV. The Fan is powered by a 12 DC adapter. The Bulbs are sheilded with a thin piece of plexe. Sealed against the exhaust fan at one end with a 1/2 inch gap on the door side. Allowing air flow from the grow chamber, across the bulbs and out the unit. Fresh air comes in from passive intake holes drilled into the floor of the cabinet.

Hey man, thanks for commin to check it out. There's lots a useful info here, and some good brains to pick, Right Fellas?
Indeed. We have at least a couple nerds here to help.

So any new pics of your new growth homie? I just added the new Co2 contraption I made that utilizes the wick system. Rather fucking nifty. Saw over an inch of growth in 24/0 cycle in the ten or so hours I've been at work.

Be back in a bit.

I'll take pic's tomorrow. Too baked and it's late.

Hey i made a thread a few days ago but i didnt really get answers. I got 6 60watt cfl 2700k bulbs, is this enough light for 2 plants? And im really dumb and i wired my fans to my timer too, so would it be ok if my fans turned off when my lights do, or should i rewire? thanks.

I got 5 fans: 2 intake 2 exhaust and 1 curculating. 15 x 15 x 7.5 computer case. Lemme know what u guys think too

Well first of all I can tell that those are most certainly not 60w bulbs. You are most likely going by the "equivalent" bullshit they put on the box. Always use the actual wattages. Those seem to be 13watters to me. If those are indeed 13 watt bulbs having four of them is only 52 watts. That would be barely enough for a singular plant depending on strain and size. If this is a vegging only case then that will be fine but for flowering you really want at least 100w per plant.

Another common measuring tool (though just as misleading as wattages) is lumens. To start lumen comparisons only work when the items being compared are the same (e.g. cfl to cfl, hps to hps, etc). 3k lumens is the bare minimum for a plant. 5k is a nice starting point, and 10k or so lumens per plant is absolutely ideal.

Having yoru fans off during vegging is fine. WHile flowering though that is not such a hot idea. The lack of airflow will increase the likelyhood of mold rather signifigantly.

Is smell going to be a problem for you? If not your fan setup is fine.

He is right , you have 13 watters. And yourt Cluster of 4 bulbs is a very inefficent idea. Then should be all sideways or on 45 deg angles.

ALSO!! You need your fans on for veg too. The plants need to be able to exasperate. Night and day. Your grow really should have constant fresh air, and exhaust. IF YOU MUST, try and at least relpace the air in the space a few times a day.

RanTyr-Been in a few threads debating the fan issues, seems like collectively most agree air flow is a must.

@rantyr yeah i threw out the box but im pretty sure they were that retarded 13watt shit. So i guess i have to go buy some more, what types would you recommend? And i will rewire my fans to proper control. Smell is an issue, but im not worrying about that until it starts to smell, then im adding some DIY carbon filters.

@sgt. thanks for confirming what rantry said

Eh I should have mentioned Co2. I prefer to leave fans off as long as possible and supplement with Co2. This Co2 infusion allows for the higher temps associated with the fans not running and signifigantly boosts the productivity of the plant

I recommend the 42 watt cfls as they are the most cost effective. 26 watters are me personal favorite as you get more mobility and penetration. It's more work to position them but it's worth it imo.

Nope. Dimmable bulbs are not ideal. Jsut head to home depot or lowes (or any other local place that sells cfls) and pick up a few boxes each of 27k and 65k cfls that are no smaller than 26w roughly. Don't go the 60w route either as those are way too large for smaller grows and offer almost no mobility.

Edit: something like this for flowering: http://www.lowes.com/lowes/lkn?action=productDetail&productId=23790-371-60043&lpage=none
