Im interested to see what that LED can do in a space like that... Right now I veg under a 400w MH but would like to stage my perp out a little farther in the future and was thinking bout building a small space with less heat... What kinda ventilation is needed for that light to stay at ambient room temp?

Are you gonna bloom with that light or go a different route?

And finally what are your res temps in a small space like that?

Thanks in advance -S0uP

looks good. id only veg for 2 weeks tho n maybe SCROG it. reason being is the lack of overhead space. i honestly think 6 babes is too many for the setup but I have faith in ya n i think youll adapt just fine. Def look into scrog if u go with the six

Ok I'm using these lights the whole time the hydroponic store dude. Told me that the PAR pemitted from the led is sufficiant for the space 3ft H 2.5Ft Long and 2 Ft deep. Led's aren't measured with conventional measurements like lumens.. they have a complete different process in which the transmit light waves to the plant. or some shiat like that.

Heat i can honestly say not much of any heat and the fans are placed there just to supplement new air. The Led is cool to the touch. My res temp is the same as my room temp im guessing considering 70 is the ambient temp. I ordered a temp meter and ppm meter its coming in the mail I do have ph strips at the moment. ph set at 5.5

I can't control veg unfortunately they are auto's. I know i know.. avoid em.. But they were exactly what I wanted Dwarfs, and I can run 18/6.

In response to Soup you wanna keep ur root temps at about 65 degrees. u can use chillers in ur res to lower temps if the grow area is too warm (85 deg. is a good median for the plants space). leds produce very little heat so its not gonna b as big of an issue as with HID bulbs. I think root temps are often overlooked in hydro/aero grows and may be why many of them fail. with ur setup if u had a 600 HPS and nothing to kool the water in ur res ud fry ur babes.

k I will. I'll move the branches so that the light penetrates thoroughly as they grow. I know six is alot but considering they shouldn't reach more than 50-80 cm i think i might make it through. But again thats what I'm doing right now, it a trial period.

tying it down is scrog basically. Its a form of LST (Low Stress Training). A bit of chicken wire or chainlink fencing over the plants bout 10 inches up should do well. you basically just pull down any growth above the wire and fill in the blank spots as u go along the wire. excellent for small grows.

I'm waiting for a ppm meter from eBay. But in the mean time some of my plants are stressing getting lime green in the middle of the leaves like beside the veins.. Any ideas?

Day 16

They are all still alive some are doing better than others but with out a ppm meter im just eyeballin' it. Should arrive in the mail next week.
Any ways the white spots progressed into a meg. deficiency which I have recently dealt with so things should be moving better now.
I flushed in the process thinking it was nute burn and reduced the nutrients to 1/5 label dosage wondering if I should step it up. Well here is an update.

Thanks will get better next week when my ppm meter arrives and I can follow a feeding plan. Deficiencies should clear up and growth should speed up. Im just worried that since they are autos they will not recover to give me the yeild i want im aiming for an oz a plant. But Im skeptical.. I run mine between 70-80f Rarely breaking 85f. And by the way I'm running it 24/0 for the first 2.5 weeks then over to 20/4 for 2.5 weeks then at week 5 finishing at 18/6.

The plants are really short with tight inter node spacing. So im hoping for so tight buddage to add some weight to these girls. 4th set of leaves only 2-3 inches tall

at 24/0 you will not make anywhere near that. that is way too much stress, and will hurt the flower production. i say expect ~a quarter from each plant.

good thing is, hydro grows bigger plants, if you know what youre doing ;)
