This is a similar priced light:

Not saying its great, i havent tried, but defo better.
High diode count means less watts per chip, smds are usually a bit more modern and efficient, the fact it dont need more heat sink also indicates more light per watt. If you can change try to do so.

Or aw16 mars light but i dont know the price points.
Nice find Rocket. Has to be one of the best $80 lights I've seen. 79 cents/watt for white with 660nm reds. (:
I love the large size, (15.75 x 11.81in / 400 x 300mm), great light spread and lots of cooling area.

Just got my light in. As I suspected I can't cool the tent enough by opening all the flaps and ports. It was hovering at 81-82 but the humidity dropped down to 25% RH. I really wanted to try though. Ordered a 4 in combo by Vivosun with fan, filter, and duct for $88 and a Tao Tronics humidifier today. I'll try running the system again when it all gets here and see where my temp and humidity falls.

You want to keep temps around there for led, but higher rh, especially for vegg.

Try to see if you can change that light with amazon.

I got my carbon filter and fan set up today, but my humidifier sadly didn't make it and will be arriving tomorrow. Even with the fan alone I have my temperatures under control at 79 though. I fed with big bloom today also, so they shouldn't dry out on me.

Thanks man, I've been careful not to over water or over feed. I just have a couple of torn leaves from where I manually remove mites and bugs and tug on the leaf too hard. I don't want to use neem or any other products because I don't want to burn my plants or add bad taste to my weed. I'm in week 2 of veg as of today.

@diggs99 @Boatguy I've definitely read that this light throws some heat. I'm planning to take advantage of that because my temps are getting down to 64 at night so I could actually work with a ten degree swing. I'm not sure where my temp is going to fall with the carbon filter and fan running but I'm getting one with the speed controller so it shouldn't be too low.
Man with a carbon filter, fan, light fixture and only 4' of headroom I imagine you're gonna be growing some awfully short and small plants.

Honestly, I encourage you to finish out this grow with this maxsisun and come next run, buy an HLG or a Mars TS1000 which has been linked in the second post. You'll be so blown away at the difference in end product. You'll see why all of us are so adamant about white LED and not blurple.

Yeah man, definitely so. The whole top foot is fan and lighting once I get to max height. I'm just gonna scrog and get maximum bud sites for the 2' of actual grow space I have. Closet grows lol.

Buddy, this is my first grow and I don't know if I'm going to keep doing it so why invest in the most efficient solution possible when this thread states in the opening line that I only want to clear 2oz? You might have a better light there with info to back it up but you're not adhering to the guideline stated in the beginning of MY thread. That makes you illiterate. Why would I take the advice of an illiterate person?

I hope I get into it honestly. We're just at different places in our philosophy on growing and economics. It sounds like you have a really good setup and I'm glad you're raking in those sweet buds dude. I realize that in the long run a good setup will save me money and produce more quantity as well as quantity. I'm at the point where I need to make a minimal investment in order to get started and see what the minimum of my efforts will produce and look at the algebra of scaling that up. I don't want to save myself a headache on my next ten runs by making a smart investment now when there's a possibility I don't see a second run and I lose twice as much money because I got a "good" one to start with.

You bought an inefficient, outdated light off of Amazon. People here attempted to be nice and steer you in the direction of a better light - two people even linked to much better lights in a similar price range. You bought your light off of Amazon, so you can easily return it. And instead of accepting that advice, you act like a total douche nozzle.

" . . . but you're not adhering to the guideline stated in the beginning of MY thread" - Seriously, fuck off. Have fun with your shit light.

If you haven't flipped to 12/12 light schedule yet, you need to. At least within a week's growth or you're gonna run out of room.
