9CF5088A-19BF-4A85-BEF6-5A5DE42FCF18.jpeg I was so happy to take my plants from 4 zips a plant to 8 a plant with 4 under one light! When I hit 10 I felt like a master grower! This is without co2 only thing I changed was paying more attention to my roots in veg! All about the bennies. Here are a couple pics one from a #5 and a #7 size pot the 7 is over 10 zips.. the 5 I just cut down yesterday so I’ll know soon enough! Let’s see some pics of over 8 club! Also I have some tips if anyone needs them! I’ll post a few more pics when I get to my comp! AAEECCC3-A098-46C4-9556-DCFE2CF4D6BC.jpeg

I was thinking 10 lbs lol. No way.

My plants end up about that size and I shoot for 1/2 lb each so I’d say you killed it

Rule of thumb on yield by pot size.

1 gallon = 1 zip

An advanced grower can dbl that easy peasy...

Your second pic shows to much defoliation. Does that increase yield?
If it is, it's by creating denser budding, with smaller buds.

Bet you can up that yield (and increase bag appeal) by decreasing that defoliation!

Better lower plant management, coupled with a staggered harvest will increase quality your afraid of loosing by all that defoliation....

Keep in mind that lower buds do not "need" direct light to develop or grow.....only to ripen properly.

Good job though!

thank you for the info.. the second pic was a plant that hermied on me :( it was in week 5 so i decided to let it go 8 and just harvest and reset after fixing the problem that caused the herm to happen. it could of went a couple more weeks if it didnt start to seed :( on the defoliation i was just about to cut that plant down and just took off fan leafs before taking the picture :)

How long do you veg?
plants will grow fast when your root system is established! the whole key to my success was learning what the plants want at what times... but first is the roots! i have tons of info im trying to put together but cant find the time with holidays just ending and not being on this site for long..

So you got 10 zips out of a #7 pot?
  • • #1 Container - Ranges from 2.26-3.73 quarts or 2.49-4.11 liters
  • • #2 Container - Equal to 1.19-1.76 gallons or 5.246-7.770 liters
  • • #3 Container - Equal to 2.32-2.76 gallons or 10.285-12.164 liters
  • • #5 Container - Equal to 2.92-4.62 gallons or 12.86-20.36 liters
  • • #7 Container - Equal to 5.98-6.08 gallons or 22.86-23.03 liters
Maybe if you had used a scrog you could have hit 12 zips or even more? What do you think?

I'm learning the container lesson in a very harsh manner. I ran a bunch of random seeds just for fun and the ugliest plant (before flip) turned out to be the more vigorous flowering plant. Since she was the tiniest i thought she'd be fine in a #2... Big mistake... She's now looking pretty root bound at week 6 due to being in a #2 pot.... Good thing i got clones for the next run =D

The others are doing just fine in a #3 pot.
