Master Kush

looking good SKH! sorry to hear of your troubles but at least you didn't have to hack them down. :)

none of mine looked that indica-ish, very skinny leaves, fairly lanky.

that's great advice about taking a couple of the smaller/lower limbs halfway into flowering, always gives a nice boost to the main.

.

It's a shame because I really wanted a mom. Number 1 follows the sativa, at least in height. i've had to bend it almost in half to keep it at the same level as number 3. Number 3 is producing nice buds already, and I have 4 of her clones taking root. I also have 4 clones of number 1, but i think i'm going to give them away. being an indoor grower I'm looking for the more indica traits. I'm going to put a number 3 clone into a bubbler and see if this helps with the spastic leaves.

Plants grow completely differently in DWC.

Thanks for dropping by.

Ok, I'm setting up a bubbling kush mom. I've decided it's going to be plant number 1. She has the strongest stem and drinks the most. I'm hoping that her sativa traits won't be able to keep up with the vigorous growth of DWC. My grapefruit grew bushy in dwc, i'm hoping that the mk being only dominant sativa will bush right out.

I'm doing it a little differently this time. using a stick instead of a ring. need to let it dry before I get to work though. Here's a pic'.

Well I set this up earlier today.

Ok, it's only letting me upload 3 pic's. So that will have to do for now. I'll post the rest tomorrow.

Here's a couple of pic's of her next to my bubbling la mom. The la mom is only 4 weeks old and has been topped twice, taking 18 clones so far. She's actually due some more right now.

Hopefully, it'll work this time...

In the pic's you'll note two lower fan leaves. I've pulled these off not long after taking the pic'. This is to help the plant settle in better, and to prevent wilt. There are times when a clone might wilt for a time. Don't panic, pull off any excess fan leaves and make sure the level of the water is at an acceptable level to bubble up to the roots. At this stage, i like the water to be as close as possible to the roots. As the water level drops over the next few days the roots should follow after it.

I also fed the 2 flowerers yesterday. I made up 9 litres of feed as I'm feeding the la conf with the same feed. Makes sense, as the la conf were flowered without a day of veg, and 4 weeks into flower the tallest is around 10".

Anyway, here's the nute make-up.

Sensi Bloom A, 25ml
Sensi Bloom B, 25ml
Big Bud, 30ml
Carboload, 10ml
Barricade, a drop
Superthrive, 2 drops.

I'll take some pic's in a moment and post them up later.

Here's the kush. Can't remember how long they been flowering. 2 weeks I think. You'll note i've had to bend and tie number 1 to keep it in order. Number 1 is a few days behind number 3.

Hey Skunky

They're coming along nicely - but they look a bit spindly and stretched for what's supposed to be an Indica dominant plant - any reasons?

Number 1 certainly follows the sativa line more. has all the way through which is why I always had it pinned as a male. I also tie the main stems up when I put them into flower to prevent them growing any thicker.

Number 3 was always the runt of the group, with multiple spastic leaves.

I'm hoping that by placing a clone of number 1 in a bubbler that it might bush out more as it did with the grapefruit.

The three males would all have made ideal mother plants. I just got left with the shit.

Whats up Hybrid. Just stopping by. Great looking plants. I'm searching through here to pick up some knowledge. I was actually in Amsterdam with my brother back in April. He brought back some seeds, and after seeing my grow, he's just gonna let me grow them. White Widow. Look out for it.

Just went out and bought a bottle of overdrive. So I can stop using the big bud at week 5 and start using this.

Number 1, despite its sativa growth pattern has lots of potential to produce a lot of bud. It's stem is really thick and it drinks copiously, 3 litres a week. Which, to my mind, is a fair amount for 2 weeks flower. So this is the reason i picked it for a mom. I don't mind its sativa growth patterns too much as my space queen will grow very similarly. so it'll be good to flower 2 of each right next to each other. I'll do the same with the la conf' and the chronic as they are both very indica in their characteristics.

I feel that I now have all the plants I need, now all I need to do is get some proper organisation. The flowerers are not ideal at the moment, and I want to get a decent flowering crop on fairly quickly.

Something babygro mentioned the other day and the time scales on the plants has helped me realise something. The bulb I'm using to flower these is over 11 months old. I'm getting a new one tomorrow.
