The difference between one 33 round clip and 3-10 rounds clips is about 6 seconds and one bullet. And I honestly can't defend a 33 round handgun magazine but it is what it is.
The guy that tackled Loughner, Joe Zamudio, had a conceal carry permit and was carrying. He was not there when the shooting happened but stepped into the situation several seconds later after the damage was done. He was able to tackle, instead of shoot, because Loughner was changing his 33 round clip. So maybe these facts help your argument, or maybe it helps those of us that believe more armed law-abiding citizens are good for crime, being had Zamudio been at the incident as it happend he could of saved many being armed. I also find it ironic the only armed man in the area was the one who tackled him.
That isn't what happened. Roger Salzgeber and Bill D. Badger, tackled Loughner and Patericia Maisch grabbed the magazine so that he couldn't reload. NONE of them had a CCW or were carrying. The only people who had guns showed up AFTER Loughner was subdued.

We are both wrong. I reread the incident report.
Badger was shot in the head or face, he went down, gunman quit shooting. As Badger got up shooter was right there in front of him ready to reload. Someone hit gunman over the head with folding chair, gunman and Badger went to ground. Patricia grabbed a magazine while Badger and another man struggled with gunman and another man grabbed gun. Zamudio, who you conveniently left out, actually prevented the gunman from getting up again because Badger and the other man were out of energy holding him down. Before Zamudio helped Badger and unknown man he confronted the man holding the gunman's handgun with his handgun, learning that the real threat was on the ground he holstered his handgun and prevented gunman from overpowering the two men.
I admit my mistake, I wonder if you will admit yours?
My point and reasoning stands. More guns in the hands of law-abiding citizens reduces crime, if Zamudio or any law-abiding citizen for that matter would of been there at the time of the shooting they could of saved some.

it also prevents some illegal gun owners from having this stuff. your freedom ends when it tramples on my freedom. you have a right to bear arms, and i have a right not to meet my maker from the 33rd bullet of a clip.

that's been disproven already. desertdouche tried to say that all massacres in the last 50 years happened in gun free zones, i disproved his nonsense by uttering "luby's massacre". i reinforced the point by posting a dozen massacres in california alone.
he responded with the absurd and moronic claim that california is a gun free zone.
some people are stupid. don't be one of those people.

Well as far as I know there were no "gun free" zones 50 years ago, even 20 years ago. I know my dad took his .22 rifle and sometimes his 12 gauge shotgun to school all the time to hunt as did many of his classmates. When I was in Junior High, early 80s, I was able to store my .22 competition rifle in my school locker as long as I had a lock, and I went to the largest high school in Minnesota, urban environment. So no, I can't agree that all massacres were restricted to "gun free" zones but I can say in the last decade or so almost ALL of the gun massacres have happened in "gun free" zones.

LOL Priceless. Luby's, under Texas and Federal law, was a "gun free" zone. The entire reason Susanna Hupp left her .38 revolver in her car is because she knew under the law that concealing or open carrying her firearm on her person in the cafe was ILLEGAL. I have to say I'm a bit disappointed in you, I thought you were a little more informed with facts then this.
Please list your other proof if you will, hope it's better then the Luby's example for your sake.
Well, depending on who's definition and point of view we are taking about, California can be considered a "gun free" zone.

im pretty sure my ak74 has 40 round magazines .......... im not unloading just to count.........

RPK has a 45 round magazine. But that's a light machine gun. They are interchangeable with the AK74. But no the AK74 didn't come with a 40 or 45 round magazine.

Ah, my mistake I did some more reading and apparently they have 30, 40 and 45 round mags.

We had far fewer mass shootings back then and I'm not sure that they did NOT have the same similarity. After all, it takes a deranged mind to do something like this, no? Whether it is a naturally occurring disability or if it's caused by the mass proliferation of psychopharmaceuticals means little difference to the victims. It does make a difference if we are creating more mass murderers through medication.
