the Sun is the same temp and spectrum year round. The earth is in a different position to the sun. Mh run hotter than hps... My point was you don't need 2 different spectrums. Its more beneficial to have the same spectrum in veg and flower. Then there won't be any lag due to spectral transition when flipping to 12/12.
I don't agree with this, I prefer the taste and effect of the high when I use a 2/1 ratio of 600whps and one 600mh. A better product, hands down, and YES I do know that the yield is a SPECK less, but I've done the pepsi challenge, on my own stuff, and the 2/1 makes better herb, no question.

Nope! Try it, let your weed hang in the sun and rain for a few weeks and itll turn a nice golden brown. I left one hanging (forgot it lol) and it was light brown and shitty. Its been awhile since I had some gold (30 years lol) but yup pretty much same color lol.
My buddy left several branches hanging upside down for a couple of months because he forgot about them. The finished product Is exactly how you described. And it was actually really dank too lol

I'm not saying use one or the other, they designed 2 separate lights as marketing so people will buy 2 lights instead of one. Same reason jp morgan paid induction and flourescent production to be banned from the U.S. over a hundred years ago. He wanted to make money off his mercury mines.... he commissioned tesla and he came up with induction. A bulb that last 10 years with out degrading. Then J.P Morgan didn't like it. So he commissioned edison to do the incandescent so his mercury mines could make money. all marketing my friend. The general public fell for it...

Cmh, led , induction on the other hand is a single spectrum through veg and flower that doesn't need to change. more efficient then hps. better results hands down

Agreed, that's just the way it works.
forgot if you use rhodelazation method or what ever its called when you let them flower past prime so they toss out some sacks those are fem too from what i understand
ive grown photo's but never tried this and it doesnt seem to work with auto's so this info got filed in the least used part of my brain until a later date that it becomes relevant

yeppers black strap molasses
it feeds the microbes in the soil and their micro turds feed your plant
If you say so, I do use molasses to breed beneficial microbes (EWC, ZHO and Aquashield) But when I put it in the DWC water, they already ate the mollases' sugar. And if you read the very popular root slime cure thread, he warns about putting molasses directly in into your nutrient water. In soil, roots produce enough sugars to keep beneficial bacteria alive. As far as I know, no need for molasses.

its also a source of N and cal-mag and iron and other micro / macro nutes yadda yadda etc etc
i think the NPK is around 1/0/5 if i can remember right
its in alot of bloom boosters
and it can get a bit slimy in a res
but its something that like anything else should be used in moderation

My buddy swears on molasses and he uses it every other time he feeds. I've tried it once, I was too afraid of something unexpected so never tried again, and I never saw and improvements or harm done.

Picking your plant during a full moon..stupidest shit I ever heard LoL.. but a nail through the main stalk one week before harvest seems to make it extra sticky
Hmmm... I wonder if there may be a kernel of basis for this. I just had the thought that plants DO produce methyl jasmonine (which stimulates terpene production) in response to insect attack.
I have always thought the nail was WAY wackier than the full moon thing, now I'm not so sure.

Yeah, but see tobacco is treated though. ;) Shit I wouldn't want to toke on some ganja that would make my lungs turn brown & come down with the piles though. ;) I believe I am goin stick to the FDA approved way of curing & drying my buds for now. lol
Yup just like it! Lol. Mould is actually good to smoke! It kills all of the stuff in your lungs again same as tobacco! Bet you didnt know that lol!

but the photosynthetic growth response charts clearly show plants don't use TWO wavelengths they use a broad spectrum. It's not an argument I wanna start, all i'm saying is I have indisputable evidence (in my mind) that the added MH makes it a better smoke, even the taste and end appearance are different, not to mention i'm convinced the glands look bigger to me (sparkle more to the naked eye) and NO that's not with the MH light on, that's with the same led light I always use to look at them. believe me, If I got the same results from just hps's, i'd use em, they are more efficient (more lumens per watt) and produce waay less heat (which equals closer bulbs) , but, i'm telling you, do the pepsi challenge on your own stuff, that you KNOW, and then tell me after, if you're impartial, i'm willing to bet you'd like the hps/mh combo better. Thats's all i'm sayin. Try it, just try it, if you have a normal ballast you can switch it to the MH setting and all you'll be out is 85 bucks or 60 bucks or whatever for the bulb. You can re-coup that, right?
course if you have just the LEDs, then you'll be needing a couple more benjamins to try it

NOOOO, use molasses! it's great! black strap molasses, I thought everyone knew that. no offense intended of course, great with micros, and a super potassium food. In fact black strap molasses is good for HUMANS as well, kinda strong tasting though.... but I know a yoga girl (mmmm yoga girls.....) oops sorry... yeah, I know a yoga girl that has a spoonful every morning, and I can safely say she tastes fantastic.... Oh, makes a nice plant food too. Kinda got off topic there...
I wouldn't use it that often though, it can make the herb burn funkily, and you can have sulfur probs too.
Once a week is safe through the first 4-6 weeks of flowering, depending on the strain, mix a good phosphorus food in there too, and some worm castings, I also like squid emulsion but that's some smelly stuff, but my girls like it, also maybe like a bat guano or seabird guano For phosphorus, and if you are outside, the added N in the seabird guano is helpful for the plant outside, damn near all outside plants are slightly N deficient with the almighty sun shining.
