Manifold setup advices

I have a question for those who used to apply this growing technique before or for those who can help:

Is that "tomato ring" really necessary? Can't find one around here. I can build one if needed but i don't know yet a way to do it.

Whatever supports and assists with height control. Tie colas to string hang from ceiling, bamboo stakes, trellis net.. Tomato ring, doesnt matter.

Depends on the type of plant it may support itself fine depending on size and structure if you topped etc.

I use a plastic trellis net tied to corners of tent poles with ductape. Heres one tent of mine with nets. The second net I have yet to re hang or may not even be needed.

I think you mean Halo water ring. Used to evenly distribute water in grow media like soil or coco. Many methods have been used to this end. Pros and cons to each. I am currently using the Floraflex PotPro trays and distribution manifolds.

You can loop tubing on a "T" fitting and drill holes for even water saturation. Just make sure the holes are big enough to not clog.

Don't know. I just saw a ring with 4 "legs" which they were put in the soil. I don't know if that's a tomato cage.
Yea thats just for support. As the plant gets bigger it can topple over in late flower but really depends how big the plant is. You can apply all kinds of diy to make a support structure.

Many ways to do the same thing, just opening the plant up and support it. Mainlining or just leaving minimal growth in center makes for a less dense canopy around that area.

I have clones side by side, the ones topped at 4th node vs 12 nodes grew less dense and was topped again on all the dominant growth.

Orherwise it constantly wants to over grow into itself and shade out bud sites. That ring really isnt needed theres many creative ways to do the same thing.
