Looks like you got some good buds off thy btb Yankee! Nice work brother :D
Pretty happy with the yield but I was in a bit of a rush yesterday so I didn't take a wet weight. I think it should be close to the first BTB. Puff, puff pas brother!

Just in your essence right now Yankee, love it buddy. That BTB looks just like my Jill but my color scheme will be different, looks fantastic brother. Great haul on your first one too, 3.8oz is beauty,

KC :weed:
First time growing this strain and it is definitely a keeper. The early read on the smoke is WOW! Mandala advertises THC at 20+% and I believe it. Good yield, great high - I'm stoked! Thanks for the feedback and being a part of the journey!

Well the first round has been harvested and the second round will all come down in the next few weeks. I was a bit concerned but the heat wave has not seemed to affected most of the girls - temps jumped 8-10* in the flower room over a period of 3-4 days! Anyway, here they are after their watering.

Starting with the sick Hashberry - is that about the saddest thing you have ever seen. All her lower limbs gone, upper fan leaves necrotic but no sign of hermies though she has been through a lot since the beginning. Not sure she is able to add much more weight in her condition but she is still praying. I will keep her in flower until her trichs start to turn or she tells me she's had enough.

Now on to my little Angel, who is definitely the keeper of the HBs. She has been maintenance free, looks and smells great and will be a good producer. She should be ready to harvest within the next two weeks.

IMG_9994.jpg IMG_9995.jpg IMG_9996.jpg

The last of the Hashberrys is the the four headed Mainline experiment. She has four main colas and four secondary colas and has another 3-4 weeks to go.

The last of the bunch is the Beyond the Brain. Pretty happy with the distribution of cola development with three rounds of topping. That gave me four dominant branches each with two smaller colas. That is definitely more practical and manageable than the two giant colas in each of the first two BTBs harvested, though not as impressive in the bud porn department. Probably has another 2+ weeks to go.

As always, thanks for sharing the journey!

Man, you got that right! Virtual smoke-out Puff!!

So, sad day as I went ahead and chopped the rest of the sick Hashberry. She looked so sad and pathetic but smelled sooooo good as she was giving up her flowers! This was a distinctly different pheno from the other three female HBs I got from the pack: she was tall, had long, skinny leaves, frostier and a great menthol/minty smell. I would buy another pack of seeds just to see if I could get another and see if I couldn't do better by her! As expected, very little yield - maybe an ounce total after she is dry and we'll have to see about the quality having been harvested early.

Angel is getting close to chop, likely within the week. She has been getting just water for the past week and is starting to yellow as expected. Should be a better harvest then The Bush - I am guessing 2.5+ ozs.

The four-headed HB is in her 5th week of flower and I am starting to see liftoff on her main colas. I will prune a bit of the top growth to better expose the second tier.

The last BTB is bulking up nicely. I really like the weight distribution on the colas and think I will top this way again next time. Probably another two weeks or so for this girl to be ready. I'm really glad I decided to go with 5gal pots for these girls - I think it made a big difference in the yields.

Stripped the fan leaves off of Angel yesterday and put her in the dark til tomorrow when she will be harvested and trimmed. We'll see how she responds to the late flower stress.

You've done extremely well Yankee, awesome buds mate :D
Thanks EC. I've been real happy with the Mandala genetics overall. Low female ratio from the regs is the only thing I was disappointed in but that is hardly the breeders fault. Winding down here and will have smoke reports coming to close out the thread in a few weeks.

Outstanding grow Yankee. What was the final flowering weeks total on the BTB? I'm looking at every fast flowering Haze cross I can find, and researching for an upcoming sativa grow. Looking forward to the smoke report, I like the description of the BTB for sure.

The breeder puts BTB at 10 weeks. The first one was ready at ~65 days, the second was right at 70 days and the last one is still in flower at 68 days and is ready for harvest. I am going to take her out tomorrow and keep her in the dark for the last two days before chop. I have been sampling the BTBs and I am very pleased. Taste is ok, great smell and bag appeal and high is fantastic and long lasting!

Thanks KC, appreciate the feedback as always! I will get some more photos up for you guys.

BTW, too funny you should mention Durban - I have some Early Durban (Durban Poison x Skunk #1) regs germinating now!

Nice KC - Do you have Early Durban or DP?

Don't think I am going to start a journal just for that grow, but I am thinking about creating an on-going journal to capture the current state of my garden. On the other hand, I have gotten real busy the last couple weeks and haven't been keeping up with the ones I have running now!

I know how it is Yankee, you`re doing a great job though mate when you get the chances. The Durban is just Sensi Durban, but it`s local, native name in South Africa is Durban Poison :). I had the same idea about the grow journal too. I wanted a strain specific one in case of reference for others, but I will be doing a `Garden` journal afterwards for sure. Keep it up mate!

Well we are winding down this grow with the last two ladies about ready to harvest.

The last of the BTBs just came out of the flower room and spend the next 24 hours (36 total) in darkness. She has not had a drink in a week and just water for two weeks before that. I am very happy with the size of the colas with the topping of each of the four main branches just before moving into flower.

The HB has about one more week so tonight's feeding was probably her last. Like all the HBs from this pack of seeds, she is frosty, dense and resinous. I definitely like the bud distribution with four (or more) heads rather than a single dominant main cola.

nice job yank! Can't wait for the smoke report. The BTB looks like it should be tasty after it cures out.
I should have some hashberry in flower by now but I lost the whole pack to damping off a few weeks ago. Haven't had that in years but it snuck in somehow. That'll teach me to be more thorough won't it? It would have been my first Mandala but I still have several of their strains including the BTB.
