Male?

Same plant...just lower on the main stem...
Anyway take a close look at the preflower within the next few days. Are they in veg or in flower? If they are in flower and you don't see white pistils sticking out the middle almost double to tripple in leght in a few days. Its more then likely a male. And if they are in vegetation and not in flowering it is most likely a male flower. Male flower shows uo during vegetation also.. So take a close look. To me it looks like an opening preflower that will die and not produce pollen

That's a boy alright. When the pre-flowers grow on a stalk like that you can be sure. Female flowers are right up against the stalk when they first emerge. Male flowers can too at times and makes it harder to determine sex until hairs pop out.

Congrats or condolences depending on what you were after.

Seems there are 2 sides to a male/female situation.
Time will tell.
Wish there were rich betting men on the side of male cause I could use some extra $$$.
Still think it's a male?
There is still time to switch sides Bro lol!

I'm still going by the fact that he is in vegetation phase at this moment and male flower are more proned to show sign around 6 week after seedling and female can take up to 3 months to devellope flowers if not in flowering.

I got a seed assortment to put up. Say 50 seeds, 5 or more strains? Make it a 100 if you got the cajones. ;)

I'm in BC for the next two weeks and the seeds are in northern Alberta but would be in your hands before Xmas should the impossible happen and I be proved wrong.

And no side deals with the OP to get him to swap out the plant with a different girl either. ;)

Having a great time here and already coho fishing in my old stomping ground in the beautiful Fraser Valley!

I love fishing and can only imagine how awesome it is fishing for coho in Fraser Valley.

You got me with calling me out on a bet. It was a joke to everyone on the male side of the debate.

I do love to bet when I feel I have the best of it but don't have decent seeds to exchange.
I thought if you responded you might have switched to not being male, I figured like my 1st post you just made a quick call.
It could go either way but I'll stick with the growth shown by the OP as being a small leaf developing with no male stamen in the pic. If it's a fem seed I would be a big favorite at this stage IMO. I've seen that type of growth on fem seeds before.

I have little experience but recently went through the 110 page thread of sexing plants to prepare for my own work.

Nothing there says female. Its on a stem and has potentially a male flower. There is no pistil. Lean male.

The thread would say, look elsewhere and you should easily find other or better indicators.

We will know soon.
Find a pistil somewhere on the plant and you should be in good shape.
Are they feminized seeds?

The seeds are regular Wedding Cake.

Its sibling is the same age and is sitting next to it. That plant is obviously female.

Am going to hang on to both for a time.

I cut clones off of the obvious female.

When the clones are old enough for flower, the obvious female will get treated with CS so I can produce fem seeds and not have to go through this crap.

If the suspected male ends up flowering female, then GOOD! Otherwise, I may ALSO produce some regular seeds as well.

I should still have plenty of clones left for a decent crop to harvest.
