You'll be able to tell the difference between stipules and female pistols (if it is female). The female pistols are pretty unmistakable in my opinion. Keep checking where you're checking, and if you start seeing little white hairs growing, then congrats you have a female.

My plant just started showing its lady bits about three days ago.

seriously.....quit stressing bro....the male pollen sacks grow for quite a while before they pollinate females anyways. you have a pretty good window of time for slaughtering them.
