This is what a male looks like in the very beginning stage. This plant is only 4-5 weeks old.

You'll be able to tell the difference between stipules and female pistols (if it is female). The female pistols are pretty unmistakable in my opinion. Keep checking where you're checking, and if you start seeing little white hairs growing, then congrats you have a female.
