Making Dry Ice Kief...and then what?

Once you're done shaking all the kief your going to get off of the herb, how to preserve it? Should you wait and let it cure a while like fresh bud? Or just go ahead and press it into cylinders using a small hand press then bag it in plastic or foil or glass?

Had to toss 4g's of ice water wax because of mold. Don't want to repeat that loss.

Fortunately, there was very little condensation from the dry ice method, so no water...almost. A few small chunks of frozen condensate fell into the resin, but those are being monitored.

Traditions in all producing countries tell you to first cure you resin glands before pressing and usually 3 months is a minimum. Dry sieve trichomes are never smoked fresh.
High quality resin needs to be cured slowly, over a period of at least 3 months. During this time it should be kept in an enclosed and airtight container with temperature in the 90F. The containers traditionally used for this first curing can range from goats skins to metal boxes, anything but plastic. The container is opened every other day to prevent humidity build-up.
After three months, the polymerization of terpenes has transformed aromas and flavors as cannabis resin age and mature.. Cannabinoids stability being influenced by light, temperature, humidity and oxygen availability; the choice of container, curing environment and regulation of oxygen is crucial.

the kief was created from roughly 3 zips of bud that was curing in glass jars from between 3 to six months. is it still necessary to wait another 3 months before pressing it?

The curing in jars should have done the job. No need for more if done right.
