So I got tired of buying the KCl solution for storing pH probes in. They charge too much for that shit. I bought a pound of potassium chloride on amazon for $9.49.
To make a standard 3 Mole KCl solution you take 22.37 grams of potassium chloride and add it to 100 mL of distilled water (I just used my RO since it's at 2 PPM). Make sure that all the KCl is dissolved.
Now you can make your own solution and save money. Not including water cost you can now make a little over 2 liters of storage solution for under $10.
