You`re nailing it Yankee, great job keeping them low before/into flower. Everything there is going to get plenty of light, and plenty of nice budsites to follow. Going to be a nice couple weeks for ya mate, they take off now :D

Looking forward to it! Thanks for the words of encouragement and for sharing the ride.

Agree with KC, you'll get some nice fat colas out of those stems man :D
Thanks EC. I am really interested to see how this pans out. How is that Blueberry cross treating ya? :joint:

Love it yankee. That is definitely what I am aiming for, just smaller. I just asked a question on KC's thread about training the arms out horizontaly and you have a great example of what I was thinking. ;-) 48 days from topping doesn't sound too bad, about 10-12 days between each cut or so? Can't wait to see the 16-headed monster!
Hey stone, I think I responded in your thread - if I missed anything just let me know. The 48 days was to get the sixteen heads but if you were shooting for four then I would think you would only need a few weeks depending on when you start the top/train process. Each cycle requires some veg time to build up the next set of heads and I found that the time is not linear meaning it takes more time early on between pruning/training rounds. It seems once the plant is really established with a healthy root zone she can add vegetation a lot quicker.

How many seeds did it take to germinate the first plant?
Sorry I don't think I understand the question. 1 seed > 1 seedling > 1 mature plant. Mainlining is a technique used on a single plant at a time to produce multiple colas from a single stem. I'd be glad to answer if you can clarify your question.

It's treating me very well thanks bud :D

Feeding time at the zoo so I figured I'd grab a shot of Wanda while I was at it. She is starting her second week of 12/12 and those sixteen heads are stretching every day. I am seeing a few more pistils and expect to see a bunch more in the next week. I will be training a few of the tops over the weekend to even the canopy a bit more and expose a couple heads that are currently obstructed, but if you look carefully you can see all sixteen.

Sweet! Looking forward to this yankee. How much do you anticipate her stretching? I noticed on your HB mainline that you said she didn't get vertical enough? Do you think that was caused from flipping too soon? Sorry for the 100 questions!

Hey stone, keep the questions coming - I'm new to this but will answer when I can. I don't expect a lot of stretch, thinking 8-10" for each of the heads maybe a bit more. As far as the preempted Hashberry mainline, what I meant was that I should have waited until each of the tops of each branch grew taller before topping again. I was under the impression that I needed to top when the next branching occurred but have since learned that it is ok to let her grow until the stem is long enough (maybe each branch has three new pairs of nodes) then top and prune off the lower nodes. That will allow enough spacing between branches and in the center once the branches are trained down horizontally.

Did that answer the question or did I confuse further - I am pretty baked right now. Let me know if you want me to try again.

Clear as a bell mate! That was one of the things I was wondering was when to do the top for 4. Sounds like I should let her grow out for a good bit after her initial topping. Thanks!

Yours may not stretch that extreme Yankee ... Your strain naturally stays squatter that most will, I reckon you get maybe 6-8in more, tops (which is great actually, more light distribution the better). I got about 9-12in of stretch with my girls and they`re OG dom (stretchier strain). I had to grow out often 2-3 nodes extra and hack it off for uniformity, so don`t fret on the early or late topping, they bounce back no worries. You`re dead right about spacing them branches too :D.

You`re in great shape bud, can`t wait to see this finish out nicely for ya

Wanda got all the attention this morning and I think the other girls are a bit jealous. No before pictures, but she had all her new branching (lowest two nodes on all her heads) pruned off, trained to more evenly distribute the heads and make the canopy consistent and watered. That should be the last of the pruning until harvest. Three of the sixteen heads are a bit less developed thane the others and these are now trained to get unobstructed light exposure and such that their branch is higher than their twins - maybe encourage dominance in order to catch up.

So far so good with the new soil(less) mix - one feeding with a fresh dandelion tea in veg otherwise just water. No signs of deficiency yet but keeping an eye out for any.

She is looking great yankee. Loving the even canopy. Have you been able to keep her like that with LST only, or have you done some cropping too? Outstanding bud development already, props!

Your plants make me smile. Keep it up, yankee!
Thanks H - they have the same effect on me too! Puff, puff pass...

Thanks stone. The canopy structure is simply LST. The only pruning I have done since moving to flower was the most recent trimming of the bottom branches that would not be part of the main cola. As far as bud development, yeah she was pre-flowering all over by the time she made it to the flower room that I figured she would be budding shortly thereafter. This is a 7-8 week strain so glad to see the budding starting sooner than later anyway!

Thanks for stopping by guys!

End of week three in flower and Wanda is just jammin at the tail end of her stretch. So far, just water in flower and no signs of deficiency. Buds are developing nicely along each of the heads and should develop into very nice, continuous colas. Spacing is good so need for additional training this week.

Thanks for peaking in!
