Main stalk broke in half, what do

Hi guys. Was just sitting on my bed and my light set up crashed and fell on my plant, shaved off 3 branches and snapped in half at the third node (1 week into flowering, was just starting to show white hairs)

I need some advince.. I taped it back up, and it's holding, but everything about the break is wilting hardcore.

Before

After...

This plant was living proof that MiracleGro, tap water (overnight so chlorine would evaporate) and a few cfls would work nicely. :cuss::cuss:

I would chop it at the broken node and re-veg it. Maybe take some clones from the upper nodes. Unfortunatly, along with the heat, is one of the biggest problems with CFLs. I'm assuming you were using a Y splitter and outlet adpater on a power strip??

Yup absolutely bang on, and youll get two! for the price of one, my mate fell down some steps once with a 4 footer, snapped that in half, almost crying he was, until my pro gro bro just taped it up for him, it looked dreadful for about 4 days all limp an that but it did pick up, Stressing it will bring on better results, im just not brave enough to hurt my ladies, lol...bungher in a bigger pot aswell bro, an airpot if you can get them, she'll be fine.

CFL
42W 2700k
23W 2700k
2x 23W 2700k < these two were on a Y splitter.

had a fan rebound/circulating fresh air. aimed @ all 4 lights, but moved fresh air around the plant.

everything was going perfect... broke in half JUST before the 3rd node (has 7 or 8 total)

also, how to I 'go back to vegging' ?

should I chop the top above the 3rd node, and leave the rest of the wilting branches or what?
does it matter that it was showing it's sex?

If you are trying to save the upper portion get that light much farther away for now. Mist it with water from a spray bottle t try to hydrate the plant. It may be too broken to fix but give it a day it may surprise you. If that part dies you can put it back on vegging light cycle. It will just take a while to start growing again.

Eh, I'm about to re set it up, give it a few more days in flowering and see what happens...

If nothing, I'll mark it off as a male plant ( ;] ) and just order some seeds instead of using bagseed.

Also outdoor season is coming up, so I'm in between all of these decisions.

Thanks for all the replies :] this grow was merely a test, but I got pretty attached because I spent so much time :P

Yo bro, i train my plants and when i do so i break them LITERALLY break the stalks, and the wilting will occur, but unless its lifeless which tends to give you a pale blue color, do not CUT IT OFF!

It will grow back! Have faith!

Haha, when my ladies and i do our morning stretches and workouts we tend to get funny looks, but they only come back bigger, and more beautiful!

I do however compensate the structure with nets and bamboo sticks to aid the regrowth, and CO2 to keep the bends and breaks healthy!

In theory its like stretching and tearing muscle only to regrow healthier and stronger muscles right!?

The sky is the limit with what these beautiful plants can do!

Its looks good,., I wont not do anything at the moment, if the top is going to die, you will know 100% no ifs ands or butts in 24 hours, Its looks like it is movieng water so thats good, It will take a week to start back up. A probelm you can have is when the broken steam does not die, but never really grows either, In that case you need to cut it off. again you should see growth in less then 7 days.

Yes leave it in flower,,

Great! I hope so, it's sleeping right now, still on 12/12. Will give it a few days or so. :)

not gonna risk splinting because I don't really trust anything but time and light at the moment. Will update tomorrow if I remember, thanks for all the replies!

All i'll say is this, you'd be surprised what this plant can handle and come back EVEN stronger than before! As for miracle grow lmao if you think that shit does cannabis justice wait till you get some real soil rockin!

I was doing some LST on a plant once and got a little excited and broke the main stem , it wasnt totally snapped off but mostly. It came good though. All I did was basically get some skewers and use that as a brace and then put a cable tie around it so it was secured.

How did this happen? looks like you sat on it other branches are damaged to, major damage done. Cant see the main stem recovering if wilting is as bad as you say.

Honestly, no idea HOW it happened.. I was just in my room and it collapsed, but my structure just randomly fell apart and I guess it hit the center of the top cola and weighed it the fucked down and snapped it. Looked a lot worse today, so I trashed it.

Figured what the hell, 2 months progress (it was stunted because I didn't transplant early enough) so I figure I wasn't that far along tbh.

This was a practice grow, so I'll probably take a hike through my woods because I know of a nice hidden area near a stream away from society, might try that. But my question with that is, do I use natural earth soil? Or do I just set a 5gal pot outside, or bury it a little bit..?
