lumens questions ?

alright i found some cfls that i wanna buy they are 100 watts a piece and put out 1300 lumens per bulb and i wanna know if two of these will be enough to veg and flower and i just wanna grow 3 plants

Are you talking about true 100 watt CFL's or 100 watt incandescent Equals? which should be around 23 or 25 watt bulbs, I've never seen a true 100 watt CFL with 1300 lumens all the ones Ive seen have about 6500 to 7000 lumens. either way I would say that isn't enough light for 3 plants, maybe 1. But thats just my Opinion. good luck with the grow

no you will need like 50 of those

the link doesnt show the bulb, sorry, but if it is spiral and screww into a regular light socket, then it is probably the hundred watt equivalent, the packeging is misleading. you will need between 7-10,000 lumens per sq. ft of growing space to do anything really worth while.
